FO-6 Eye Shadow / Chikuhodo FO SeriesMakeup BrushLooks Can Be Deceiving
This small eyeshadow brush is deceptive — it is so much more of a mighty tool than it looks. Its strength lies in the fact that it applies and blends so beautifully at the same time, it works the outer crease and the v so easily that even the darkest most hard-to-manage colors blended easily with this marvelous brush. I realized I was starting to use it on my entire eye, and I actually have a large amount of real estate on my lids. But the shape, the taper and the beauty of the silver fox hair makes this one a real treasure for precision shadow brushes.

Z-11 Blending / Chikuhodo Z SeriesMakeup BrushBest blending brush, ever.
Oh my, where do I begin? My life has been changed by the genius Z-11. I mean, I don’t think I can do an eye makeup anymore without it, and I wonder how I ever did my eyes before it came into my life? I’m a blender brush fanatic - I never thought there was a “perfect” blender - some came close, and I tried everything, from synthetic to high end. Either too soft, too firm, too splayed out, And then this small wonder arrived. It actually does ALL the work for you - it seems to know how much to pick up (I usually start with transition color) and deposits and blends shadow without wiping it away. The ultra silky grey squirrel hair blends & polishes, using an easy back and forth in the crease. Then I carefully clean off that color on a cloth, or use another (yes, I have multiples!) and it it works as a petite crease so perfectly, the magic continues - If I’m in a rush, I’ll use it for my lid, too, it has great saturation for squirrel - this performs almost like goat when you want it to, if you load it up. Also makes a great nose contour, fine highlight detail (cupid’s bow, below brow, forehead, etc.) Winner of best blender brush! My search is over!

C011P Small Pencil Brush / Koyudo C Standard Series PinkMakeup BrushOne of the best ever
I have used many pencil brushes on my very sensitive eyes, and this one takes its place among the best. No watering eyes, no skipping, only soft goat hair that makes a precise line and holds its shape. Incredible brush and a real bargain - I bought a few. Great for travel, to carry in your bag. Also great for detail work in outer v, crease - just a great little pencil. Highly recommend.

C011 Small Pencil Brush / Koyudo C Standard Series BlackMakeup BrushFantastic pencil brush
Soft but firm and precise, this pencil brush can compete with any high end pencil brush for a fraction of the price! You can create a clean line or go for a nice, smudgy, smoldering eye with this little gem. The black one is a bit longer than the pink, so if you are a makeup artist, you may want the black one (multiples, it’s that good) because you’ll have a little more distance from the client & more handle to work with. Just so so good! Treat yourself!

KOYUDO SU/I Highlighting BrushMakeup BrushA work of art
Truly took my breath away! The handle, fashioned like a smooth, water-smooth branch or small twig, complete with organic knots, is extremely comfortable in the hand. The very soft goat hair is fashioned into a beautiful, lush flower - it’s like you need to buy TWO of these! One to keep on display that’s always perfectly clean (along with the small twig highlighter brush - check that out) and one to use! Because it is a marvelous brush for blush and bronzer, can also be used for applying setting powder. I love it for bronzer. Definitely make a place for it on your vanity, this is a showpiece!

Absolutely gorgeous brush, I wrote a review for this amazing brush but it posted under the smaller twig highlighter brush. An organic inspiration that makes for a great blush, bronzer.

H008 Kabuki Buffer Brush / Koyudo H Brush Series BlackMakeup BrushFinest squirrel kabuki full coverage
A small powerhouse of a brush - this is the crowning achievement of the H series, and definitely one of the finest squirrel kabuki I’ve ever had the pleasure to own. Incredible, immediate and fast full coverage with my powder foundation - I literally dipped it in twice and in a few seconds I had a non-powdery, beautiful matte (but not dry) canvas for makeup. I think there is a learning curve - this is an incredibly dense brush, and less is still more in application. Highly recommend.

BP025 Highlighter Brush / Koyudo BP High Class SeriesMakeup BrushA little beauty
I’ve been using this very lovely brush for contour and highly pigmented blush. It’s a directional brush, so so soft. I finally tried it for its namesake (highlighter) and found its forte - it’s truly amazing at delivering that glowing, glassy look that’s so gorgeous on the high points of the face. Wish I could give it 10 stars! Will get a backup of this, for sure!

fu-pa14 CB Gray Squirrel Powder BrushMakeup BrushSimply perfect fu-pa
This is an amazing offer, a first class squirrel/goat (mostly squirrel) fu-pa at a price that can’t be missed by either a first time fude user or the true collector. I’ve bought some as bridal/birthday gifts they are that good. Used with long strokes (powder foundation) you can achieve light to medium coverage, and the skin glows a semi-glossy, even appearance. Just beautiful. The brush “acts” like an all-squirrel brush because of its softness, and the natural coverage, but the goat in it gives it the power to be an all around fantastic finishing brush, bronzer, blusher...keep it dry, away from oil and moisture and it will make your powder cosmetics look flawless.

[Outlet] Saibikoho 5-Piece Brush SetA dream come true!
How does a lover of fude write a review of the best of the best? I’ve been blown away by Koyomo, blue squirrel & WCS, but when this set arrived, I literally got giddy. Beyond anything called “soft”. I can’t stop touching these beauties. And the kokutan handles are magnificent - the pics online don’t do them justice, because you have to see the grain & feel the weight in person. The set looks like TF but if TF had gone the extra length...and no way does TF comes close to this heavenly softness. And....the brushes are technically remarkable. Here’s a recap, I’ve used them only a short few weeks: Powder - acts like the best squirrel ever but even softer, stronger in that it picks up more powder for the most gorgeous buffing/finishing. Also does a great job of all over bronzing, like the OG TF. Blush - the “king” in that it can do it all - lays down & blends blush at the same time to a beautiful polish, the perfect contour, also can be a smaller powder, great for highlighter ....there is magic in this brush... Highlight - just amazing, a few swipes in the product & it lays down gleaming, glossy highlights. Perfect size. Can also be used for smaller contour, like nose. Very dense for a smaller brush. Eyeshadow and Tapered Eyeshadow Brush - I didn’t have much expectations for these brushes, tbh. They seemed too small & “floppy” in their softness. And then my first application...WOW. I did my entire eyes with these 2 “unassuming” brushes! I have extremely sensitive eyes & it felt like this beautiful smoky look came out of some sorcery & I didn’t even feel the application going on! A quick recap if this helps for those deciding: I used the shader to place MAC haux on the lid, it went on evenly, no base or primer. Just 2 swipes for full color. I used the side of it w/ a deep dark color (outer V & crease) & it blended like a dream. I then tested it with a pressed glitter pigment for the center of the lid (not wet) & it was great - not foiled, but, amazingly good. I rolled the Tapered Brush in a soft MAC color first (Texture) to line under lower lashes but it wasn’t laying down enough color, sort of like the Z10. So I tried MAC Embark (dark) & it laid down a smoky, soft, even, medium thick line that was gorgeous! If you have the chance to own this once-in-a-lifetime set of brushes, you won’t regret it. Thank you, CDJapan/Bisyodo, for these treasures!

Koyomo nadeshiko Pearl Pink Shadow BrushMakeup BrushBought a couple backups of this gem!
This small but mighty brush really took me by surprise. Even though it is exceptionally soft due to the old Koyomo hair, since it is hair from the shoulder of the goat it has a firmness that makes this one of the best crease and outer V brushes I’ve ever used. It’s not like the soft blown out look the Z-11 gives, it’s more for placing and blending all at once even deep, hard to blend colors. Actually, you could do your entire eyes with just this brush! Great for lining/smudging under lower lashes, too. This brush may look “cute” but this beauty can accomplish some serious work!
