Can I Sing? [SHM-CD]Masayoshi TakanakaA great album!
A fun album throughout. This was one of Takanaka's ventures into the "City-pop" genre and he does it very well. Highlights are "Santigo Bay rendezvous", "Jumping Take-off" and "From the Heart."

DefoReal Godzilla(1971) Tago no Ura joRiku Ver.GO GODZILLA, SAVE THE EARTH!!!
An awesome figure packed with charm and great detail. Any casual fan or complete stranger to the Godzilla series will no doubt be attracted to its goofy charm. For hard core Godzilla fans, this is the Godzilla that saved the earth, rather than destroyed it. This figure will make a great conversation piece, and an awesome addition to any Godzilla fan's collection! Older kids may also like this toy as well, as it presents a kid friendly sculpt in it's cartoonish appearance.

Details are crisp, paint work is amazing throughout. This figure is an instant eye-pleaser, and a real banger of a conversation piece. He is bright, shiny and proud. A worthy addition to any Ultraman fan's collection, or any collection for that matter.

Sunset Light Cooktail On-Demand CDAIR"...I'll have another!"
This album series never fails to impress. The instrumentation has an authenticity and charm that wisps you away to another place, perhaps even another time. This particular release places your butt upon a comfy leather stool at the bar of a cocktail lounge. Its orange glow comes through the speakers and you swear you have been there before. It has an intimacy to it that is very genuine and you can tell the musicians care and that they are very good at what they do. This release is a little different from the other two; "Reservation Calendar" and "Sunset Hills Hotel", in that this one is less whimsical, and more jaunty and laid back. This album is best enjoyed with a drink, alcoholic or not.

PINK CLOUDPINK CLOUD"Ooooh stuck in my brain!"
This album is awesome! It is well produced, all instruments are crystal clear, and the sound stripped down. The guitar is heavy and at times searing, and packs a punch. No two songs sound the same, and they are very energetic and full of passion and it gives the album a genuine feel that makes you want to hear it all over again. I really recommend this album to fans of American rock of the 1960's and '70's. It provides an interesting look into the Japanese music scene at the time.

FOR YOUTatsuro YamashitaYamashita cements his status
With this album, Tatsuro Yamashita cements his status as a music legend. This album trims any fat and filler, not that any of his previous albums had much of any to spare, in favor of tightly packed pop pleasure. The sound is incredible, as Yamashita handles his own production. This is the only Yamashita album you absolutely must own, although you could easily say the same about his earlier album "SPACEY". It features the glistening opener "Sparkle", the soaring "Futari", brisk and upbeat "Loveland Island" and the classic "Love Talkin'". Also, you are treated to "Your Eyes" a closer that must be heard to be believed.

Toho Daikaiju Series Godzilla (1965)The King of the Monsters!
This figure is wonderfully detailed and painted. the spines have a sparkly paint effect that is beautifully done! The sculpt is dead on, and the pose conveys motion and is fun to examine at all angles. Highly recommended!!!

PHILHARMONYHaruomi Hosono"I'll be a good sport, be a good sport!"
Harry Hosono's 1982 album is indeed a strange one. This is the type of album you have to hear from start to finish because any song out of context may turn off the listener. That being said the album is extremely ambitious, and at a time where Hosono and YMO where already on top of the music world, feels like an exercise in fun. Hosono makes use of his electronic arsenal and produces a lush, quirky and at times haunting album that grabs you by the ear immediately. The album is mostly instrumentals,2 pop songs and a cover of the Italian folk song funiculi funicula that has to be heard to be believed! But the real attraction here is the pop masterpiece "Sportsmen," which is considered by many to not only be one of HH's best songs but one of the best pop songs of all time! Get this album if you are interested in anything YMO or a Hosono fan!

UC YMO [Ultimate Collection Of Yellow Magic Orchestra] [Blu-spec CD] [Limited Release]YMOYMO's "Ultimate" collection.
UCYMO is a great collection of songs for a really good price. It saves the average fan from having to buy all their albums to hear their favorite songs. While the 2 cd set has many great songs, it does have a problem. It contains a demo song,"Lover Come Back To Me" which could have easily been substituted with a finished track instead. Don't get me wrong, I like little bonuses like demos, but this demo isn't worth listening to. I believe this set was compiled by Ryuichi Sakamoto of YMO? at least that is what I've been told. You get songs he has picked, whether he believes them representative of the groups best work, or just his favorites, I'm not sure. That being said, you get the bang for your buck here, although you could easily do just as well with the "YMO go home" compilation as well.
