Bossa Nova Soul Samba [UHQCD] [Limited Release]Ike QuebecExcelent album and well recorded !
Smooth tone of Ike Quebec is very comfortable, but his playing still contains surprises. The word "soul" deservedly appears in the title, since Quebec’s playing is full of soulful feeling.

[Secondhand] Albinoni No Adagio Kamiwaza No ContrabassGary KarrAn unique album
Gary Karr is, in fact, the first solo double bassist in history. That record set the new standard for fidelity. After the recording was released, Gary Karr was often imitated but never surpassed. Karr’s beloved Adagio d’Albinoni has been a perennial favorite of audiophiles the world over. Stately and soulful, Gary Karr was a player of uncommon grace and this was the recording that set him in the pantheon of the greatest double bass artist!

Rachmaninoff & Brahms Works [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)]Yuja Wang (piano), Andreas Ottensamer (clarinet), Gautier Capucon (cello)The height of musicality
Their obvious technical ability never overpowers the music and it is one of the recordings that stops me in my tracks and makes me sit down and listen.

[Secondhand (Condition: Fair & Above)] Chopin: Sonata For Cello & Piano etc.Truls Mork (cello)....a subtle art !
Mork offers a judicious equilibrium between high voltage passion and more reflective lyrical moments, framing the heart-rending slow melody of the sonata’s third movement with the well-delineated rustic energy. Mork hints at folk influence in the melodies, particularly in the finale. He captured Chopin’s idiomatic language astutely, pointing harmonies without disrupting the melodic flow. It is the subtle art of underlining without using a joined-up line.

Shostakovich The Jazz Album [SHM-CD]Riccardo Chailly (conductor)....a masterpiece !
This CD is highly entertaining, full of rhythm and harmony and create enormous deeply-felt music. We have an opportunity to hear the "lighter" size, or "jazzy" side of one of Russia's great composers of the twentieth century.

Ella and Louis [SHM-SACD] [Limited Release] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]Ella FitzgeraldExceptional recording on best cd format
C Some albums mark a decade. Others mark a generation. And others go far beyond all that, managing to change the face of music history forever. "Ella And Louis" is just such an album. It's easy to understand why "Ella and Louis" became such an important, influential album. It is extremely hard 'if not impossible' to find another jazz album where the chemistry is as strong and effective as it is here. In fact, not even Ella and Louis later collaborations manage to work as nicely as this, their first.

ELVIS 30 #1 HITSElvis PresleyOutstanding remastered !
ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits is a must-have release for any Elvis Presley fan. While he had plenty of great songs that aren’t featured here, this collection truly is the definitive one to own. There’s not a single bad song here and it’s lengthy enough to give you value for money. This is exciting, the audio blasts with pure-power from your Hi-Fi like it was recorded yesterday! You can even hear Elvis coming from Boom-boxes in the street!

[Secondhand (Normal Condition)] Ancient MuseLoreena McKennittBeautifully and thoughtful album!
An Ancient Muse is somewhat of a historical travel that explores Celtic roots as well as other cultures. Listening this album you are pulled into the experience of both seeing and experiencing what you hear. Through the travelers’ eyes, you see tents, now tiny against an immortal landscape. The music is travelling us to the past and make us see with our fantasy this old ages of kings and thrills.

The Ultimate Guitar CollectionJohn WilliamsSublime
Listened to Segovia, de Lucia, Presti and Lagoya but if it's about handling the most difficult pieces for classical guitar single-handedly, only John Williams can deliver them flawlessly like it's no effort, especially Baroque transcriptions as they can be a real pain. The collection itself contains the best of all kinds - baroque, Spanish, modern, movie scores with orchestra... A must have not just for Williams' fans but for any music lover. There's so much emotion in those tracks ..............

Jane’s singing is nothing short of sensational. She has all the assets required of a great singer, perfect intonation and tuning, a fine jazz feel, inventive delivery and the ability to make a song sound very special. If you like a fine jazz vocalist, who sings the songs her way, this album is for you.
