cheap looking but irresistibly kawaii
As I love dogs I bought it without hesitation. It is rather big - the dog's face is almost the size of my hand.
What is important to know is that the transparent plastic pocket on the back side of it can hold a card no more than 5.4 cm wide and 8.5 sm high (the product description here is missing this info). Beware if your card is wider - you won't be able to slide it in the card holder pocket!
The pocket is tight and I actually had to struggle a bit to press my 5.4 cm wide subway pass into it, but finally it slided in all right.
My card is now held securely so I'm not worried it may accidentally slip out.
The "Makkachin" is held on a secure hook which is connected to "Makkachin"'s head by a retractable cord. Attach it on your backpack and you only have to catch it behind your back and pull forward to touch the gates at the subway - the cord is long enough to allow this.
Although it is overpriced (hence minus 1 star), I'm happy to have it as it is lots of fun and a useful item too. :)
