No BorderJAM Project (Hironobu Kageyama, Rika Matsumoto, Masaaki Endo, Hiroshi Kitadani, Masami Okui, Yoshiki Fukuyama)No Border / HERO
Geez! No Border really rocks. It's quite different from everything you listened from this group. A very good song, deserving to be the theme from this new JAM's world tour. Well, I think HERO is a little bit boring. That's the kind of song which you can listen on every anime in fashion. Nothing special on it, except the beautiful intro.

Kosoku Denji Albegas Onagakushu (Music Collection) [Limited Release] (limited to 5,000 copies)AnimationChumei Watanabe, always fantastic!
The soundtrack of Kousoku Denjin Albegas is absolutely sensational, specially the BGM. For me, the BGM of this series are among the best works of Chumei Watanabe. Tracks like [Sentou] and [Kessen no Toki] show how powerful and vibrant Watanabe's music can be. And the slow tracks are also good, like [Utsukushiki Omoi]. Songs are nice too. The opening theme [Kousoku Denjin Albegas] and [Tatakai ni Omomuku mae ni] are my favourites. The only bad point on the CD is the mono recording of the BGM. But it can't remove the 5 stars rating of this fantastic album.

Lupin III Chronicle: Lupin III The Legend of Babylonian Gold - Music FileAnimation SoundtrackIt could be better
ADVANTAGES: - This is the most complete album ever released from [Babylon no Ougon Densetsu]'s soundtrack. - Every track from the original first album and from Lupin III BOX 2 are included. - There are many previously unreleased tracks too. - It's digitally remastered (like ever CD from Lupin the 3rd Chronicle series) DISADVANTAGES: - Some tracks are smaller than the original versions released on first CD/LP, like SONG OF BABYLON and LUPIN III THEME VARIATION. - Instruments like flute and electronic battery had been removed in many tracks. They're listened on the original CD/LP from 1985, but not on this album. - This soundtrack is so far to be among the best Yuji Ohno's works.

LUPIN THE THIRD THE ORIGINAL-NEW MIX 2005-REMIXED BY YUJI OHNOAnimationNot bad, but not wonderful.
It's a good album. In fact, there are only 3 tracks we can call really as "new": SUPER HERO (Alternate Version), LEAVE YOU (2005 TOMMY MIX) and SAMBA TEMPERADO, now 40 seconds longer. The other tracks sounds new too, but just a little bit different, nothing wonderfully better than original versions. But if you really want to complete your [Lupin the 3rd Chronicle] series, you must have this album.

SPICED WITH BRAZILSonia Rosa with Yuji OhnoA new style for old brazilian music
The tracks of this album are essentially old success from brazilian music like GAROTA DE IPANEMA, CORCOVADO and CASA FORTE. It could be seen as another cliche of Bossa Nova albuns. But it isn't. This album has a very interesting characteristic: the arrange of the songs were leaded by the great jazz pianist Yuji Ohno. This arranges doesn't sounds like the traditional one. It's a kind of new sound that fitted well on Bossa Nova compositions.

Hatsumi Shibata Single CollectionHatsumi ShibataGreat release!
The Complete Single Collection is really the best compilation of Hatsumi Shibata's songs. Includes some bonus-tracks and a lot of pics.

Lupin III no Theme - Variations & Covers shu + Karaoke CollectionAnimationAnother 5 stars Lupin's release
This double set CD is great. DISC 1 brings to us every wonderful Lupin III's themes recorded by Columbia. Tracks are digitally remastered. But other great themes like [Lupin III Theme '97] are not included, because it's from VAP (another company). The karaoke of famous Lupin's songs are on DISC 2 in nice remix versions.

Columbia Sound Archives Series: Captain Future (Capitaine Flam)AnimationPerfect album!
The most complete Captain Future's released album. Musics are really really great, Ohno's 70s style is the best.

STORMJAM Project (featuring Ichiro Mizuki, Hironobu Kageyama)STORM
That's an awesome single! Ichiro Mizuki and Hironobu Kageyama, two of the greatest Animesong singers, singing together on the 2nd single of JAM Project. Rating: 5 stars!

CRAZY REVOLUTION!!JAM Project featuring Rika Matsumoto/Hironobu KageyamaJapan Animationsong Makers 1st work
It's the first work of JAM Project. Both songs are good, but aren't among their best songs. "Kaze ni Nare" is a nice rock song very well performed by Rica Matsumoto, and "CRAZY REVOLUTION!!" reminds so much the 60's rock style. Rating is 4!

Video Senshi Laserion Ongakushu (Music Collection) [Limited Release] (limited to 5,000 copies)Animation80's Watanabe's music (STEREO!)

Daigekitou Mad Police '80 MusicYuji OhnoMad Police '80
Awesome opening theme! One of the best music made by the jazz pianist Yuji Ohno. Powerful and vibrant, the opening theme is really the great music of this album. The slow ending theme, sung by Noboru Kimura (TALIZMAN's vocalist, also known as Harry Kimura or just HARRY) is a very good song too. But the rest of the music on this album (the Back Ground Music) are not so great as the main themes, but still good. Rating: 4!
