15th L'Anniversary LiveL'Arc-en-CielReally good!
This concert was absolutely amazing! As celebration for their 15th anniversary, they played a wide variety of songs which made this concert really interesting. They also performed really well. Besides that, the limited packaging is just too cute!

Magnya Carta [CD+DVD]An Cafe (Antic Cafe)Nice!
Really great album! The best An Cafe has released so far imho. You can really notice how their music has been growing and it's all for the better. The music is really good and the songs are fun! If you're a happy bright person, you should definitely get this album.

The Marrow of a Bone [Limited Edition]Dir en greyNot too impressed
To be honest I'm not too impressed by this album. The first time I listened to it I really didn't like it at all. However, it does get better the more you listen to it. I'm still not impressed, there's too much screaming for my liking. The only songs I really like are The Pledge, Ryoujoku no Ame, Clever Sleazoid and Namamekashiki Ansoku, Tomadoi ni Hohoemi. And the bonus disc is really great.

play [w/ Photo Book, Limited Edition]SIDNice
This album is really nice. To be honest, I did expect it to be better, but it's still a really good album. It's definitely more refined than Hoshi no Miyako and Renai (although I still prefer Hoshi no Miyako of all their albums).

HEARTL'Arc-en-Ciellove it!
This album is opened by the strong but melodic song 'Loreley', and I think it's a good song to give you an impression of the rest of the album. An impression that most likely won't go away. L'Arc~en~Ciel's albums always seem to be done in a certain style, no 2 albums sound alike. It also always seems to be impossible to describe the style of an album, just as impossible as describing the style of L'Arc~en~Ciel. However, to give you a slight impression.. this album has strong but melodic rock songs with a bit of jazz thrown in and some ballad-material. For some reason, this album often seems to be 'forgotten' or to stay unnoticed to new fans. And it definitely deserves better than that. So far this is absolutely my favourite album by L'Arc~en~Ciel. I absolutely love the songs 'Loreley' and 'Promised Land' and even 'Niji', for which I did not like the single version.

666 [Initial pressing only limited release]HYDEStrong!
As soon as I heard the title for this album, I realised: This is not going to be like 'Roentgen' (Hyde's first solo album). And indeed. Where 'Roentgen' consisted of ballads, '666' consists of strong rock songs. The album has a slightly American feeling to it, but everyone who's heard more of Hyde's music can hear that he's giving it his own touch. When the single 'Hello' came out before this album, I have to be honest and say I wasn't too impressed by it. I feared for this album and hoped it wouldn't leave the same impression as 'Hello' left on me. However, I wasn't disappointed! I truly love this album with it's strong rock songs combined with some slightly less loud songs. The album is very varied. Although the album is obviously in one style, not two songs sound alike. I also loved the lyrics (a lot of them are in English by the way!). My personal favourite song on this album is 'Masquerade'. I love it mostly for the lyrics, but also for the strong sound and the melody. It's one of the louder songs on the album.

Dix InfernalMoi dix MoisScars of Sabbath
This dvd contains footage of their live, on September 27th, 2003, at Shibuya-AX. Moi Dix Mois plays all songs of their album "Dix Infernal", including some songs that we could not find on albums or singles at the time this dvd was released. I can say I was honestly impressed by the concert on this dvd. This is the first live performance I have seen of Moi Dix Mois, and they are very impressive. Juka, the vocalist, definitely knows how to perform live, his voice is truly amazing. Hearing him on cd is one thing, hearing him sing live blew me away! The bassist, Kazuno, also proved he knows what he is doing. The song Spiral is his moment of fame and has an amazing bassline. Throughout the concert they are dressed in black clothes, but for the encore they wear white robes over their clothes. Mana also changed his guitar to a beautiful white one covered in 'blood spatters'. This dvd also has some extra features. Two of them are 'memoirs' from other lives and one is an 'off-shot'. All are really interesting to watch. The quality of the image and sound is perfect as well. Thumbs up!
