THE OLD ONE ENDS,IT BECOMES BRAND NEW
meth.THE OLD ONE ENDS,IT BECOMES BRAND NEWmeth.meth. it's just the best indie bandIf you like straight-forward, "heavy" visual-kei rock you MUST check out this release. I blind-buyed this one in Japan after I watched meth. live in a superb show, the release was even more impressing.

devils in bedside9GOATS BLACK OUTAbsolutely marvelous
Finally the debut album from ex-GULLET singer Ryo is available in regular stores since the mailorder limited release of the past January. This is one of the spotlight release of 2008, featuring an incredibly inspired melodic rock sound, with enchanting piano melodies and many hard sound digressions as well.

brilliant forceSel'mMost effective title ever
This album shows indeed a "brilliant force" by the band. I think Sel'm with this release can easily erase from themselves the tag of "wanna-be-girugamesh-clone". This is an album of great songwriting, great vocal talent and apart from being really innovative this is sure one of the spotlight release from the actual visual-kei/hardcore release of 2008. This is absolutely not to be missed, no doubt it's already one of the top10 release of 2008.

The Faded Film of Japanese Sadness [Limited Release]NegaThe beginning of something amazing.
Nega represent the moste experimental and intruiguing visual kei act ever seen in years. Their music is something close to 12012 but with a darker, creepy, paranoid touch. This mini caught me by surprise and shows any side of this band with haunting mid-tempos, terrific instrumental, low hardcore style songs. A must have.

Riso Kaku ToshiLolita 23qSuperb
This is a wonderful mini from Lolita23Ku which shows a more careful attention on the melody without getting over their usual core-punkish sound.
-
Ecumenical [Limited Release]ayabieOutstanding
I would never ever think that Ayabie could go this far without their main composer Ryohei: this release shows an unknown side of the band with songs like Senjou Cameraman to Saigo which is their most mellower song until now or fancy upbeat like Masquerade, a must-buy for every Ayabie fan post or pre Ryohei era.

Kein no HitsugiRentrer en SoiThis album will leave you speechless.
This is the brightest release from Rentrer en Soi and also one of the best releases in visual kei history. Songs like Sora Yume Miru Suichuka and Sephiroth can be hardly described with words.. Satsuki's voice is so charming and warm and fits perfectly with hard and soft songs. Must buy for all.

Dear Perfect HysteriaAMUZAAmuza stands for AMAZING
What an awesome indie release we have here, so many metal influences, at first they resembles a lot american doom/death metal legend "Dusk" but with something more, the death/grind touch is emphasized as well as the growl vocals. The music really ranges between heavy guttural grindcore and oppressing doom with piano inserts. Like Intestine Baalism this is a serious band to watch closer, innovation in the metal scene is something really rare and those guys brings a breath of fresh air. For any extreme metal fan this is not to be missed.

M.R.DGazettePowerful concert
What an awesome concert, imo this is even better than their latest "Nameless Liberty Six Guns". The setlist is perfect just like video and audio quality, can't go wrong with this for any fans and non.

Ayabie Sokukan Ongenshu [CD+DVD]AyabieAmazing, an Oshare masterpiece
In my opinion Ayabie is the best oshare band ever and this full-lenght just shows perfectly their immense talent. Every single song is outstanding, Aoi's voice is beautiful, happy punkish rock songs like Shikosahoko and Gothic Party Speed Session, many headbanging songs like Mazochi, death-metal tuned guitar in darkened poprock songs like Bittus-Asshuku-Roll and Tseppeshi, Taberu make this a blind-buy for all!

TOKYO-pRayerAyabieCan't pray for anything more
Ayabie seems to have really good skills with live dvd and this is no exception, wonderful tracklist with nice inventive (starting a concert with Suisou is really unusual), perfect picture/audio quality and all the songs from the 3 singles released in Summer 2005 plus Equal prayer for all. This is a precious item since those songs are not going to be played live anymore because of the departure of Ryohei!

Kai no Me To no ZokuryoMegamassoExperimental oshare
Ryohei, former guitarist and major composer of Ayabie, confirms once again to be one of the brightest mind of the oshare scene. His talent is just wild and crazy as you can expect if you know already Ayabie. In this project Ryohei try to break new frontiers with groovy mid-tempos, progressive punk-rock with violin (!) and the usual catchy and funny oshare songs.

Spiral Circle - CompleteUnsraWVisual-Metal
UnsraW is the best surprise which came over in the past months and this album is the perfect showcase for a band which has talent, energy, great music skills and a bright future ahead. Their death metal sound just mixes perfectly with the open vocals of visual tradition, don't miss it.

13's reborn [Regular Edition]girugameshWhat I was expecting and something more!
After hearing to "Goku" I had greatest expections on Gilgamesh full album and I can say I'm fully satisfied. Gilgamesh didn't rely on the nu-metal influenced sound of the past releases but tried something new, adding some melodies in guitar riffs, slow and mellow songs just makes this album great for every fan and non.

SAPPORO OMOIDE IN MY HEAD JYOUTAINUMBER GIRL100% Clever Brutality
This is just one of the best live album I've ever heard and the best way to discover a glorious yet overlooked Japanese indie rock band. Listening to songs like "I Don't Know", "Zegen vs. Undercover", "Tattoo Ari" and "U-Rei" you'll be addicted to their fabulous melodic punkish style.
