Super Eurobeat Vol.196 Vitamin PopV.A.Somewhat good
I can't stress enough. This was the last release I enjoyed from the Super Eurobeat series. Why? It's the last one with Extended edits of new music. Now, with the quality of those. There are a couple of songs like "King & Queen", "Bright Time", "Hanami" and "Bye Bye Tokyo" that are pretty good even awesome. But the other ranges from medium to so-so in my opinion. Hi-NRG Attack showed there really softer side with "Stargate" but I am not a fan of that song. I just think that it's interresting. Also, A-Beat-C seem to be improving with this album compared with all the let downs over the last or two years ago with the Rich Hard title. But like I said, I'm not a fan of those songs but I think it is worth mentionning. All and all, a good album from the Super Eurobeat serie.

Super Eurobeat Vol.197 King Of EurobeatV.A.Epic fail
If you prefer over everything extended mixes or radio edits you are gonna hate this album. It's a 30 track megamix with 12 new songs. While the songs might sound interresting, well they are but are only offered in a 2 minutes cut "in-the-mix" which makes it "meh". Also, since Avex is... pro-Japanese, you will have a hard time finding a way to get the new songs in extended. Overall, I didn't care for this album, literally (played less than one time in my car CD player). I pre-ordered it in thought that 3 megamixes in a row rumor would be false but was indeed true. Only get it for collection sake or don't care if the songs are megamixed. Otherwise, JUST - DON'T - BUY - IT. Not recommanded at all.

Ichibu to Zenbu / DiveB'zVery good single.
Ichibu ToZenbu/Dive... second double A-side single from B'z. The first being Mienai Chikara ~Invisible One~/Move over 10 years ago. The single contains 3 hard rock numbers. 1. Ichibu To Zenbu Ichibu To Zenbu is the first hard rock number of the single and is also the opening theme for a drama called "Buzzer Beat". In my opinion, I don't hate it but I don't like it either. It just got a few "Oh"s and "Ah"s the firt times around but I lost interrest over it after a couple of play. 7.5/10 2. Dive Now, we are talking! This hard rock number is incredible! Like, literally! It's incredibly catchy and the song alone is worth the single! 10/10 3. National Holiday Catchyness is also National Holiday's trademark. This is also a pretty good song with ballad-sounding moments. The chorus is probably the moment in the song. 9/10 26.5/30 is ~9/10 and rounded to 5 stars. I recommand this single to all B'z fans and to non-B'z fans too!

My Lonely Town [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]B'zIt's OK.
Second single in three months for B'z. It features three tracks : My Lonely Town, Kirei Na Namida and Ichibu To Zenbu ~Ballad Version~. My Lonely Town is a pretty good hard rock track although I wouldn't playing it non stop. Kirei Na Namida... You would expect the song to be a ballad. Well, it's half true. In fact, the song starts a ballad and half-way, turns into an hard rock number or at least heavier than you thought it would be. Tak is a genius. The ballad version of Ichibu To Zenbu is much better than the hard rock version. Koshi's lyrics and vocal work work much better on a ballad than an hard rock number. The DVD contains the PV for My Lonely Town. This is the first ever PV released by B'z. Don't miss that chance! It's pretty well done too. In summary, 4 stars is what the single is worth :) Recommanded.

MAGIC [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]B'zAn alnum that doesn't disapoint at all.
Where to start? This album is literally filled with hard rock numbers : Dive, Time Flies, Ichibu To Zenbu, My Lonely Town, Mayday, Dare Ni Mo Ienee, Freedom Train, Magic and Long Time No see. Only 2 ballads : Pray & Tiny Drops (Note : Yume No Naka De Aimashou is not hard rock but isn't a ballad either; it fits into the JPop category). This is the first B'z album in almost two years. Action dated from December 2007. And the wait was totally worth it. Most songs are simply incredible. Dare Ni Mo Ienee, Freedom Train, Time Flies and Long Time No See are the best new songs in my opinion. The single songs are pretty good too : Dive is my favorite and Ichibu To Zenbu being the worst (I don't hate it but isn't my favorite). If you buy that B'z album for ballads you'll be deceived because there are only two of them : Pray & Tiny Drops. To me, those aren't great at all. Long story short, it's a must have to all B'z fans and I highly recommand it to anyone who wishes to hear B'z music along with their Best Ofs! DVD note : The DVD is a plus for the hardcore fans but beside that, and if on top of it all you don't understand Japanese, it's not worth it.

I got you under my skinAnimation Soundtrack (e-ZUKA)Fantastic
I truely enjoyed this soundtrack. It's incredible, fantastic! Most songs are instrumental hard rock or metal numbers and are very well composed. my favorite song is "Vital Mission In The Spanish Desert". Super fast paced song and really heavy guitars! I love it. It was also used a lot in the anime "Needless". I really recommand this album if you like hard rock and metal in general!

PolarisSTRATOVARIUSRocking all the way
Excellent album from the Finnish Power Metal band Stratovarius. The new guitarist, Matias Kupiainen, did an excellent job on guitar even if he is new. As for the other band members, they did a really good job too. With this album, Stratovarius came back to their old sound from Destiny and every track is touching musically. The Japanese bonus track is really rocking. I mean, it's one of the best song on the album! You should buy the Japanese edition for that track. It's really worth it! All and all, you should buy this if you like Power Metal in general.

Super Eurobeat Vol.191 Enjoy Your DriveV.A.Pretty good
This is a really good CD. Beside the 3 last songs (excludes the megamix), the selection is really blowing you away. Avex made a pretty good selection in choosing songs for driving (not racing). The highlights of this CD are certainly Garcon's "Ride On My Speedy Car", Leo River's "Runaway", Mark Foster's "Kiss Me Divine", Lolita's "Hurry Up Hurry Up" and Daniel's "My Gasoline" songs. 4.25/5

Super Eurobeat Vol.192 Let's PartyV.A.Simply one of the best!
Wow!! What a joy ride! This CD totally beats most of the other Super Eurobeat albums in my opinion. With a Elliott Yamin cover by Ace (Wait For You ~Dancefloor Night Mix~) at the end, this album will keep your Eurobeat party alive for sure. Believe me! I really really really suggest buying this! Even for starters! 5/5

WICKED BEATB'zBest mini-album
This has always been my best mini-album from B'z even if it was released in 1990. I love techno in general and since this album really relies on dance tracks, I tend to prefer those songs. If you like dance tracks, you will really enjoy those "English" versions of the ealier B'z tracks. 4.5/5

B'z The Best "ULTRA Treasure" [2CD+DVD]B'zAwesome DVD!!
Wow! That DVD! It's really really awesome. The show is really exciting! B'z is really an expert in that domain! So, I say, for the extra fee to get this version instead of the 3CD version which doesn't really justify the reason to pay less. Get this ASAP B'z fans! For the song selection, see my 3CD version review.

B'z The Best "ULTRA Treasure" [3CD]B'zNot worth the low price
When the selection is rather good, the new mixes and all, the 3rd disc is simply not worth it. The song is a rather mediocre ballad even if it was supposed to celebrate B'z' 20th anniversary. The four stars have an additional reason : none of my selected songs made it. But I'm happy to see B'z' 45th single in there. Overall, it's a good best of that totally represents Japan's favourites, not totally foreigners'.

Super Eurobeat Vol.188V.A.Good on the overage
This Super Eurobeat album is average. It features, for the first half, good song and the other half is so-so. QUEEN OF MEAN / THE SNAKE TOKYO TONIGHT / MARK & ROBY PERFECT HERO / CHRIS STANTON RUN AND RUN / LESLIE HAMMOND Those titles above are the besttracks on the album (my opinion of course).

Super Best Trance Request Count DownV.A.Variety
Super Best Trance is a very good J-Trance serie. This album features the fans' wishes in two mixes. This mix is rather good and the selection is good too. I say that it is a very good 2CD compilation perfect for driving! If you do not know where to start with Super Best Trance, start here! You won't regret it ;)

B'z The Best "ULTRA Pleasure" [2CD+DVD]B'zRepetitive... but as a great bonus
To start off this review, I must say something : The Best Pleasure II shouldn't have occured. This Best Of should have took its place. Beside that, the songs gets repetitive because they are kept being re-released. All the songs, except Bad Communication, are from singles' A-Side (or B-Side). There are two remixes which is a plus. But, the DVD is what is worth the purchase : it offers great hidden performances of 10 songs. They are from mellow to super exciting. A must watch. Even if I think it gets repetitive, it still deserve a 5 stars rating.

Super Eurobeat Vol.187V.A.Like a secret destination in my heart!
This CD offers 13 new extended songs chosen by Avex. It offers good song but some are lacking power or simply doesn't fit my tastes. Hits are : 4. Baby Don't Leave Me / Rick Castle 5. Can Can World / Makkeroni 6. Secret Destination / Mari-san 8. Magical / Matt Land 10. Love Is A Pretender / Pamsy 12. Spitfire / Go 2 The rest is ok or more so-so. Very few mediocre tracks. I suggest it finally!

Burn -Fumetsu no Face-B'zBurn Burn Burn Burn Burn Burn!
B'z just know what I like! A great rock tune with the most exciting guitar solo ever! This CD single is really worth it only with the A-Side. The B-Sides are "Yokohama" which is a good ballad and "Kibou No Uta" which is a short and very good quick rock tune. I highly suggest this single!

Blaze [Regular Edition]KOTOKOHit Bull's Eye!
This is really one of the best singles of Kotoko with two really good trancy songs that were the OP & ED in Shakugan No Shana II. I really suggest this single if you like calm trance-like songs. But, the 2nd Beat, "Sociometry" is lacking a little in quality. Includes both tracks in karaoke/Instrumental versions.
-
Super Eurobeat VoL.186V.A.OK!
Not the best nor the worst; just a medium quality SEB album. I enjoyed it in fact. Nightshade, Tokyo Strike Force, Rebel Yell, Boom Boom Crashing Of The Boom Boom and Rock N Roll are probably the best tracks on there :)

BANZAIB'zBANZAI!
I don't have much to say. But, this B'z single is one of their best. Both tracks are excellent. A cheap (price wise) and very good single. You need to buy it :P
