Chu-Lip [CD+DVD]Ai OtsukaPretty good.
This single from Ai is yet another hyper song. It's fun, catchy, crazy and addictive, the type of Ai song that brought her to fame. CHU-LIP is definitely a good solid single by Ai. The B-side is good as well!

Dignity [Jacket A / w/ DVD, Limited Edition]Hilary DuffJust fabulous.
This is the best album Hilary has ever released. Going in new directions with her music, the new dance electronica sound is definitely working for her. The fact that it's such a personal album makes this even more incredible.

Ai am BEST [CD+DVD]Ai OtsukaToo little too late.
This BEST album seems really out of place in my opinion. I love Ai Otsuka, but it is missing her past four singles and only contains thirteen tracks. There's really nothing much in it for fans apart from a new PV and a very short hidden track. The first press made it somewhat worth it though.

Renai Shashin [CD+DVD]Ai OtsukaBallad of the year.
The song Renai Shashin may sound just all right at first, but as one listens more and more, they will find themselves entranced into the soft and soothing melody, though however simple, is truly heartwarming. Ai wrote this single during the time she was with her boyfriend, but because they broke up, she decided not to release it. She changed her mind when she was invited to do the theme song to Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru. This song conveys feelings of love, a love that Ai Otsuka once felt safe in.

Confessions on a Dancefloor (TOUR EDITION:CD+DVD) [CD + DVD]MADONNA2005's English Album of The Year
I didn't buy this album when it came out as I knew some day in some country a CD+DVD version would be released, and I would buy it then. And I wasn't disappointed. The album is like one big disco remix track, and the DVD is just great, with not only PV's but making ofs.

ayumi hamasaki Countdown Live 2005-2006 AAyumi HamasakiWorst CDL yet, but still a good watch.
It is evident right from the start that the budget for this was quite low, even compared to her previous CDL's. Despite this, it still had it's good moments, and then there were some bad moments. I paticularly liked the start, in which I thought it was nearly fitting for an Arena Tour. However, after Fairyland, the tracklist took a turn for the worse. Endless Sorrow, Because of You, and especially Theme of A-Nation '03 aren't exactly my favourite songs, and the costumes for these songs were very tacky in my opinion. Even the Boys & Girls and Evolution performances were brought down somewhat by an abysmal red costume. However, Bold and Delicious was definitely the highlight. Her vocals could have been better, but I personally can't get enough of this song, and seeing her sing it with a gospel troupe makes it all the more better. She looks like she is having a great time, which is all that matters to her now it seems. The encore was not bad, quite long, which is good! The acoustic renditions of the ballads accentuated the sorrow and melancholy of the songs even further. Quite a good buy if you fancy the tracklist!

Frienger [CD+DVD]Ai OtsukaAbout time!!
It has been seven months since Otsuka Ai's last single, and many fans feel that a new single is long due. Finally, our prayers have been answered, with Frienger being released in eight days time. Frienger is a very upbeat song that is reminiscent of Sakuranbo. It's cute connotation never fails to put a smile on my face. This is another quality release from Otsuka Ai, and I implore everyone to show their support and buy this wonderful, long anticipated single. The PV is also very cute. I really want to get myself a "Frienger" costume somehow. It's just so cute!

MOST WANTED [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]Hilary DuffOne Word. Fantastic.
Some say it was too premature for her to release a greatest hits album. While that is debatable, the fact that this is a fantastic release stands. The Japanese Limited Edition Version is worth every penny. Not only does it feature 17 songs with 2 exclusive Japan-only remixes (OK, they aren't exlcusive to Japan anymore!), this limited edition also comes with a DVD that features her PV filmography along with interviews and the like. Out of all the versions of Most Wanted out there, this is certainly the most complete one. It also comes with a photobook where you see Hilary Duff in many lights. It's a pity that this is now unavailable though...

Best of KAT-TUN [Regular Edition]KAT-TUNNot bad.... even for a skeptic
First of all, I'd like to say I am male and not a part of the horde of rabid fangirls. Anyway, my friend who just so coincidentally is a KAT-TUN fan let me listen to the CD. Being someone who has disliked Johnny's for a very long time, I have to admit, this BEST has some good songs on it, and some not so good songs. One aspect I have to critique is the rapping. Not only is it useless, I doubt anyone can hear it anyway. Songs like Real Face would have been much better without the rap in my opinion. Considering this to be a Johnny's album, it stacks up quite well against other Johnny's like NewS. There are tracks which you just would not expect from Johnny's, like Rhodesia and Butterfly, both rock songs which really make you go WOW! So why did I only give it three stars? Well, not only due to the rap, but in general, the vocals are a bit lacking and ordinary at best. Not only that, some of the songs, I just do not like, even though they are KAT-TUN classics as my friend drilled into me. I would have to recommend some great tracks like Precious One, Special Happiness, Blue Tuesday, Harukana Yakusoku and Rush of Light.

Sotsugyo Time - Bokura no Hajimari [Jacket A / Limited Edition]WaTSturdy Debut Album
After two fantastic singles, WaT have decided to release their debut album with a very fitting title! Personally, I loved the singles, and I expected tunes that were as good as Boku no Kimochi and 5 centi. However, this was not the case. The album itself is very strong for a debut, but there is by no means a standout album track. But once again, overall it is very good. The only ballad in this album, Hadaka, is a solo by Wentz Eiji, and it is a really beautiful song. I would like to see WaT do more ballads. People should really get the limited edition that comes with a photobook while it lasts!
