AROUND THE WORLD [Type C, w/ DVD]Ami SuzukiAROUND THE WORLD
This album is just great, all the tracks are really catchy and fun to hear. The first single released "Delightful" is an amazing european trance-oriented tune, the remix of "Hopeful" shows how the dance music in Japan has evolved since the eurobeat era in the nineties, and DJ OVERHEAD CHAMPION proves it has gotten better and better. Another great dance-oriented songs from the album are "AROUND THE WORLD" and "With you", both are pretty similar (were arranged by Harada Ken) in this dark pop/trance type of songs. More J-pop-ish oriented tunes are "Beautiful", "Eventful" and "Times"; the first one reminds a lot her era in her old label Sony, but much more evolved. The ballads are also really good. You will like songs like "I'm alone", "Negaigoto" if you're into soft tunes. If you like trance oriented j-pop, and good ballads, and you like Amigo's new singles from avex trax, this is a must buy.

Amix WorldAmi SuzukiKomuro-Kumori
When i first heard that Ami was going to release her first remix album I was happy. I thought all the songs from the "AROUND THE WORLD" album in new trancey great beats; but was really different: seven remixes of the song "AROUND THE WORLD", four remixes of the previous-singles that were known already; remixes of only two non-single tracks (which are really bad), and the remix of the new song "Fantastic". The remixes of "AROUND THE WORLD" aren't bad at all, they're really catchy and ready for dance like the works of SHAM-POO, Ferry Corsten, etc, but seven remixes of the same on thich supposedly is an album, not a single of one song, I think is too much... a bad choice. I was expecting unreleased remixes of the previous singles, like the Hex Hector remix of "Hopeful", but they were all avaliable before the release of the album... sothere wasn't a surprise at all, although they are good. The remixes of "Sweet Voice" and "i'm alone" are just bad and boring, nothing more to say about those. The remix of "Fantastic" is great, great masterpiece of Ferry, but doesn't worth all the mistakes listed before at least for me. The album is not bad, but has some problems, so it's your choice finally.

Like a Love? [CD+DVD]Ami SuzukiPretty good
I wasn't surprised by this single at the beginning, but some time later i absolutely fell in love with it. Since I watched Ami performing this song in 2006's a -nation tour I'm liking this for real. Lyrics are just beautiful and personal, and it's good to know that Ami herself wrote them. Although Ai's composition isn't the best as we can see in other ballads of hers like "Planetarium", it's not that bad either, although i prefer the live version than the studio one. I'm waiting for Ami's second album, hoping that the song will be re-arranged because it's too pity i think. The b-side called "Squall ni Nurete" is I think the first Ami rock-oriented song (similar to Do As Infinity style I think), always inside the pop scene of course. I think rock/pop was the only style Ami was missing to try as singer, and I was surprised by this song (it is really good).

Little Crystal [CD+DVD]Ami SuzukiGreat single for winter
I really cannot believe that, this is the first Christmas-oriented single that I actually like a lot. The four songs from the single, all ballads, are just stunning, amazing and beautiful. The first song, "Crystal", is the most carol-type of song from the single, but not for that is bad, at all. If you don't know Japanese you can easily sing along the english parts "By Crystal, By Christmas". "To be Free" may sounds too similar to Ayumi Hamasaki's single "M", mainly because was arranged by the same people (the guys from HAL), but it is one of the best i've heard from Suzuki Ami, really deep and awesome. "Place" is more acoustic-oriented, similar to her 3th single "Negaigoto"; also a great song. The last song from the single, "Carry out", reminds me alot the ballad-type of song that Kumi Koda usually makes (and mainly is because it was arranged by the same person that arranges her ballads, h-wonder). This song has a really catchy chorus, and a great melody also. It may be a little boring at the beginning, but for sure you will like this one if you liked the previous tracks.

LightsglobeLight the globe
This album is one of the best i've heard. When I first heard "Many Classic Moments" I got instantly hooked up; this song is just too amazing to be real, and KEIKO's vocals on this track just shines. In back to hard trance "What's the justice?" and "genesis of next" "Try this shoot" and "Stop! In the Name of Love" rocks the way of the album. These songs go to your heard and never go away of it. The ballads are a little loose, but they're also really good if you get along well with this type of songs. "Merry Go Round" took me more time to like. At the begginning starts really slow, but as the song is moving on it gets better and better; it is a great ballad from this band. "Lights Brought The Future" from the songnation album is also a little boring to me, but it is a classic song you have to hear from the album.
