Sakuran (English Subtitles)Japanese MovieBreath-taking
This movie has so many beautiful aspects, but I'll begin with the plot. It's not just a romance, and at times the subject is actually shyed away from. This movie has a main theme of 'surviving what life throws at you' and dealing with a range of difficulties. Anna Tsuchiya did very well in portraying such a strong woman who isn't willing to live her life for anyone except herself. The imagery in this movie is absolutely breathtaking. The sets and costumes were amazingly detailed but not 100% authentic which added to the artistic appeal of the movie. In the end, if it comes down to whether one would watch it over and over, I'd say I would.

Kodo GestaltSorobanAmazing!
This one track CD explores soroban's rock side of the spectrum. There is a really strong melody during the chorus and one can really feel Ryuuji's singing's emotion. It's really a great track.

Ginrei HydrationSorobanAMAZING
Though this is a one track CD, the melody of the song is very soft and has a trance-like effect on the listener, signature of soroban. It's not a song that grows on you, it's a song loved from the second you hear it.

Kinmei Nozen HarenSorobanAMAZING
Even though this CD has only one track, it is a song that's very true to soroban's image and sound. You won't be disapointed. The song is addicting.

Sora ni HanabiSorobanWOW
Track one starts off strangely but about two minutes in the odd jazz-iness is kind of forgotten about. All in all, it's not one of my favorite tracks but is still pretty good. Track two is amazing from the start, the kind of powerful track you would expect from soroban. It doesn't have a lot of the synth some songs do, but the guitar holds the rock/pop melody very well. Transitions are smooth and Ryuuji's voice is perfect. It's because of this song I rate it a 5.
