Pick Up Review

This is a very moving and peaceful performance of Mozart’s Requiem. Carlo Maria Giulini conducts with great care, letting the music breathe and speak for itself. It’s not fast or dramatic, but calm and full of feeling. The Philamonia Orchestra plays beautifully, and the singers blend in well without trying to stand out too much. The SACD sound is excellent — warm, clear, and full of depth. You can really hear the space around the choir and instruments. It feels natural, like you’re in the hall with them. Tower Records and their team have done a great job with this remaster from the Definition series. If you enjoy thoughtful and respectful interpretations of Mozart, this version is a great choice. It may not be the most intense, but it’s one of the most heartfelt and beautiful I’ve heard. Highly recommended. As always, great service by CD Japan, Thanks guys!!!!

A new series came out and I bought it. The glasses are embroidered so I don't have to worry about losing them. They can stand up on their tails and are cute!

I bought Ginpachi and Shinpachi and realized that Kagura was wearing glasses too! I bought all three of them because they were so cute. It's interesting that you can change your face with an eyemask.

I've never seen a doll with such a helpless, cumbersome feeling. It's soft, fluffy, and cute in a bag.

...but where is "Spider"? It was one of the most interesting songs on the original tape. Disappointed!

While the album here is another great disc from Dir en Grey, the thing that should make you buy this version is the concert blu-ray. The set is absolutely phenomenal and the cinematography is perfect, making it a compelling watch. Watching it reminds you that these guys don't just go on stage and play music- they perform. I can't explain why the order of the set is important to the experience here as fans are sure to have discs with similar set lists, but the flow of the songs in this set is part of what sets it apart from the other live blu rays and turned it into my favorite of all their live performances. There are more moments image-wise captured here that stick in my brain and get called up when i listen to their music than from any other concert disc.

I don't know exactly how to explain my reaction to the remasters; i've had the original discs for decades now so i'm rather familiar with these albums front to back.. but listening to the new remasters was like hearing the albums again for the first time. Like a layer of dust was blown off the sound and you can hear the details that much clearer. I've picked up remasters of other albums where the new mixes make the songs almost feel fundamentally different from the original release, but these aren't like that; there's just more depth to the music, more acoustic space and separation of sounds.. like it's the same painting, just done identically on a larger canvas.

In volume 4 we learn more about Totori and Lex! The worst part is all crappy ass B class teacher x.x He’s actually so annoying. I need him to disappear.

Solo sensei gets offered to a school revolution?! Sudden Snow White adventure?! And we see Nagisa shine for a bit, though he’s quite cold to class S as of the moment. I hope he warms up to them and gets attached one day TT

If D stands for Dropout, B stands for Baka, then S stands for Shut the F*ck Up and Sit Your Ass Back Down. It’s actually so irritating my blood pressure is skyrocketing. I seriously can’t stand their school’s ridiculous sacrificial education. They’re just fostering a bunch of toxic and arrogant mean girls to populate the great demand for Mages. This is like the equivalent of doctors only knowing how to study and memorize facts and having 0 social skills in society. No one wants a deal with a POS that put all points into IQ and left EQ to rot from since they were a fetus.
