Super Eurobeat 2024V.A.Super Euro meh
Writing this review a year later because I honestly forgot to. Speed Devil, What’s In Your Dream, Breakin Up My Chains, Power Car were fantastic songs. Liar And Dire was good but Bratt Sinclaire’s mastering of the song really needs work as the bass completely overshadows everything in the song. Same thing applies to To Beat Or Not To Beat. I give this album a 3.5/5 year but if the interview that was promised in the first press copy was actually released I would of given the album a 4/5 as I only bought the first press copy for the album.

Best Fiction [CD+DVD/Jacket A]Namie AmuroA great collection of Namie's R'n'B era!
This album is a great representation of an era that shaped Namie's career. Included is a selection of songs from her previous albums STYLE, Queen of Hip-Pop, and PLAY, as well as the three songs from her 60s 70s 80s single, and 2 entirely new songs! In my opinion, this CD is essential if you're looking to get into Namie's music, and it shouldn't be missing from the collection of any Namie fan. This album is simply amazing, there are so many great songs to listen to, sing along to, and dance to! My favorite song is WHAT A FEELING (from 60s 70s 80s single) but I also enjoy the 2 new songs, Do Me More and Sexy Girl, a lot, along with the rest of the album! I can only recommend this if you're a fan of r'n'b and (hip-)pop!

Rule / Sparkle [Type B / Jacket C]Ayumi HamasakiA fun, energetic single!
Sparkle has been one of my favorite Ayu songs ever since I heard for the first time! The beat and synths are arranged in such a fun way and it's a joy to listen and dance to. Rule is a great, energetic pop-rock song that's fun to sing along to! Both songs have great lyrics and performances from Ayu, overall this single is a great package, no matter which jacket you pick! Personally, I've picked this particular jacket for the remixes of GREEN, which is another one of my favorite Ayu songs. Especially the orchestra version is beautiful, so I'm happy to have it! From the other remixes, the 80kidz one for Rule sticks out to me, it's such a fun, energetic remix and fits the whole vibe of this single perfectly! I can only recommend this CD!

Wild / Dr.Namie AmuroI love this single!
WILD and Dr. have been among my favorite Namie songs since the first time I've listened to them! WILD leans a little more into an electro/EDM direction with its strong, pumping beat, but still has its chill moments and a kind of laid back vibe overall. I can't resist singing and dancing along, it's so fun! Dr. also has a kind of electro beat, but is more chill overall, with its synths and general instrumentation giving it a very interesting vibe. The orchestrated bridge might throw you off at first, but I think it's part of the song's charm and will grow on you the more you listen to it! Overall, this is one of my favorite Namie singles, and I can only recommend it!

Saint Seiya - Complete Song CollectionAnimationSaint Seiya Complete Song Collection
While the three Hits Collection albums released in the 80s are excellent on their own as well as the 1996 Song Collection album celebrating the 10th Saint Seiya's anniversary, this is the best value compilation for a single album including all the classic vocal and image tracks from 1996 to 1997 including their full length versions and the new tracks released on special albums such as 1991 Hades OST and 1997 Shonenki.

Exhibits [Japan Bonus Track]Work Of ArtSolid Modern AOR
Work Of Art are a great Swedish AOR trio associated with better known bands like WET. This album is fairly intricate with some nice key changes and some blistering solos, but mostly straight-forward, so it is accessible to the masses. Big fan of Come Home and If I Could Fly

FRAIL WORDS COLLAPSEAS I LAY DYINGA Strong Major Label Debut
This is AILD's major label debut, and it is an important piece of metalcore history. While I wish it was more melodis with more screaming - it is extremely heavy with a lot of screaming - it certainly gets the job done. 94 Hours and Elegy are standout tracks. Metalcore fans will definitely enjoy this one.

A Long March: The First RecordingsAS I LAY DYINGA Great Begining
This is a compilation of AILD's out-of-print Pluto Records albums: full-length, "Beneath The Encasing Of Ashes" and half of the split release with American Tragedy, as well as some re-recordings. The first two recordings are raw and early AILD, so they are NOT polished. The re-recordings are great, however.

Standing On The EdgeRobin McauleyGreat, Melodic Modern AOR
Robin McAuley just doesn't age - he sounds as fresh as ever on SotE. The entire band is great, melodic and crafts some really great songs. Thy Will Be Done, Running Out of Time and Say Goodbye are AWESOME. Fans of Robin, melodic AOR and the better Frontiers catalogue will love this.

AliveRobin McAuleyAnother GREAT Robin McAuley Album
While 2021's Standing on the Edge is great, this mighy be a BIT better because the entire first side just hits really hard. But then on Side 2 "Stronger Than Before" hits you like a ton of bricks and When The Time has Come is so awesome too. Just pick this up - it has something for everyone!!

StormwarningStormwarningSolid, Heavier Melodic Rock with Keys
StormWarning is interesting because it is clearly on the heavier side of AOR (guitarist reminds me a bit of Jake E Lee, actually - especially on the opening track Eye of the Storm) BUT it is very synth heavy; many of the songs will feature the synth (especially just doing arpeggios) The vocals are soaring and melodic with lots of overdubbed harmonies. Eye of the Strom, Satellite Falling, Neon Skies, Soldiers of Love are standouts. Definitely worth your time.

Beneath The Remains (Deluxe Edition) (Deluxe Edition) [Import Disc]SEPULTURAClassic Metal Album
For me, this is the album that put Sepultura on the map with this classic lineup. Schizo was decent, but this is just way more polished. Inner self is simply perfection.

Truly fantastic live recordings of Pink Floyd guitarist and singer David Gilmour. Many tracks are from his latest album, on which his daughter also appears, as well as from this fantastic concert in Rome, as well as many Pink Floyd tracks. This beautiful 7-inch package with booklets, two Blu-ray discs, and two CDs is a must-have for any Pink Floyd fan's collection.

After the 2-CD version (released only in Japan), this single CD version comes with fewer tracks, but it does come with a Blu-ray disc featuring the complete concert in sound and images, presented in a beautiful 7-inch sleeve. Stunning recordings of Sting and The Police are also included.

Kiss The Sun GoodbyeVampires Everywhere!A HUGE Guilty Pleasure
This is a band who took its name from a fake comic book in The Lost Boys, fronted by a guy named Michael Vampire, with copious amounts of auto-tune and dance beats. They are truly a MySpace no band and I love them for it. Bury Me Alive and Immortal Love are standouts

Shiro Ja Irarenai [2CD + DVD / Limited Edition]Karen na IvoryA wonderful band, a superb box set.
A wonderful band, a superb box set. The two audio CDs are simply astonishing in the quality of the songs. The songs are even very addictive. The concert is simply superb. It's very rare for a very recent band to release such a box set: some have taken five years to release one CD and two maxi CDs. I see the product has a "Backorder: Usually ships in 2-4 weeks" status: it's time to reissue it. We have to think about the years to come... These young women deserve it, as do everyone who contributed to it. It's simply sublime.

Bewitched: The Goddess Edition [Blu-spec CD2]LaufeyBewitched Goddess, Special Edition Japan
Great second album from Laufey. Maintains the same hopeless romantic theme as her first release which sits perfectly in the Jazz genre. Love the creative lyric writing with some wonderful music composition. Four stars here with five for the first release. The Japan release is a standout!
