Maho Sentai Majiranger / Jumon Korin - Magical ForceSci-Fi Live ActionCatchy music!
I've never actually really seen the show, but my friend had the opening and closing themes and I got hooked. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes bouncy, somewhat silly music. Also, a must-have for any fans of the show, as it has the full opening and closing, as well as instrumental versions.

BEST OF INUYASHA Seifumeigetsu - Inuyasha Theme Zenshu 2 [Regular Edition] [Shipping Within Japan Only]V.A.Great music, a real bargain!
It was great to get all of the openings and endings from the TV series 'Inuyasha' in one place, even if most of them are tv-sized. The last few intros and outros are also included in full-size versions. If you want the full-size versions of the previous theme songs, they are on Best of Inuyasha II. Definitely worth buying!

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of TimeSoundtrackGreat game, great soundtrack
I had the American version, but I snagged this one because it has all (or at least most) of the music from the game. Worth it for the temple themes alone. The only drawback is that many tracks are very short, but there are a lot of them!

Sexy, SexyCASCADECute song
'Sexy Sexy' served as the ending theme for 'Gakko no Kaidan' (called 'Ghost Stories' in America) and it was there that I first heard it. It's a very cute, quirky song, definitely worth buying. The CD also contains an alternative version and off-vocals of both versions.

Reckless FireYasuaki IdeAwesome Opener
CD contains the rockin' opener to Scyred 'Reckless Fire' in all its glory. Also includes a Karaoke version to sing along to. This is a good disc to go for if you're not interested in the entire soundtrack. I wasn't as impressed with the second song, 'Magma' but perhaps it will grow on me.

TRIPLE THREATSONIC HEROES VOCAL TRAXFun album, great bonus tracks
This CD contains 6 vocal tracks from "Sonic Heroes" and they're fun enough, but the real prize is the tracks from "Sonic Adventure", most of which are on out-of-print albums. I am glad to have the chance to snag these character themes. A good purchase for someone who loved the "Sonic Heroes" and/or "Sonic Adventure" vocal tracks. It overall has a pretty popish, cheerful sound that can be enjoyable whether you've played the games or not.

True Blue: The Best of Sonic The HedgehogSonic The HedgehogInteresting Mix
This collection features songs from most of the recent Sonic games, and also goes all the way back to Sonic CD. The Sonic X theme (the English version!) is also here in all its amusingness. I loved having the Angel Island remix that will feature in Super Smash Brothers. My only problem with the disc is that there are several repeats--remixes of songs already on the disc. There are some Sonic-related rarities I would have preferred to see in their place. But overall, a good buy, especially since the soundtracks featuring many of these songs are now out of print.

The Mythical Detective Loki RagnarokAnimationGroovy!
I bought this CD for a friend who's a major fan. It contains the opening and closing themes to the anime and instrumental versions of the same. Both are good songs, worth pursuing, and the closing theme in particular is fun to groove along to.

DUVETBOAOne of my favorite anime openings.
"Duvet" perfectly sets the mood for the anime it opens 'Serial Experiments Lain.' If you like the song, go on and buy the single. The CD also contains another selection by BOA that I was not previously familiar with.

FINAL FANTASY VIII ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACKGame MusicNot as diverse as other FF soundtracks.
Final Fantasy 8 wasn't the most popular entry in the series here in the states, but it does have some very nice music. It is, however, less diverse in its selections than the 6 or 7 soundtracks. Several of the songs are just instrumentals of the main theme 'Eyes on Me' (although these are usually quite enjoyable) and a lot of the music (including most of the battle themes) is utterly forgettable. However, when it's good, it's great...'Liberi Fatali' 'Ami' 'Succession of Witches' 'The Man with the Machine Gun' and 'Eyes on Me' itself are my personal favorites. Also contains the ending theme in its entirety. Recommended for fans of the game and of the series music in general.

Sutekidane featured in Final Fantasy XGame MusicA good item for your FF collection.
I snagged this CD for 'Pure Heart' the vocal version of Aeris's Theme, which of course I was very pleased with. It's a very nice song with some interesting instrumentation. Sutekidane is also a lovely song, and it was nice to have an instrumental version included. There is actually a fourth song on this CD, another selection by Rikki. Overall I would describe this CD as 'pretty'--there isn't much variation as far as tone.

Wind's FantaciaSherryBeautiful opening and closing themes
This CD contains the opening and closing themes from the Record of Lodoss War OVA. They are both excellent songs, and worth buying. However, be aware that this CD does not contain instrumental versions of the songs, as these types of singles often do.

Final Fantasy VI Original Sound VersionGame MusicGood stuff
One of the best Final Fantasy soundtracks. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the game, or who is a fan of the music in general. Maybe it's not beautifully orchestrated like modern soundtracks, but it's still a good listen.

Princess TuTu: Intro Theme Song (Morning Grace)Ritsuko OkazakiMusic from an underrated gem
This single CD contains full and instrumental versions of the opening and closing themes from the anime 'Princess Tutu' It is one of my favorite animes so I was delighted to see this for sale. I slightly prefer the opening, but both are gorgeous. Well worth buying for fans and newbies alike! If you liked the music from Fruits Basket, you will probably enjoy this.

Haibane Renmei ending theme "Blue Flow"Heart of AirSnag this, Haibane fans!
This contains the full closing theme for Haibane Renmei (as well as an instrumental version) and a couple of similar-sounding songs. Blue Flow isn't on the OST, so if you want it, pick it up here. I think it's well worth it; with its cheerful singing and lovely instrumentation, it's one of the most gorgeous anime songs out there.

ALL THE WAYMikuni ShimokawaBeautiful song from a wonderful series
This single CD contains full and instrumental versions of "All the Way"--the opening of Kino no Tabi, also known as Kino's Journey. It is one of my favorite songs, very uplifting, reminding one of the travels undertaken by the main character and the travels in one's own life. It also contains two other pop songs, both of which were pleasant to listen to. Overall, a very enjoyable CD.

FINAL FANTASY VII ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACKGame MusicMy favorite final fantasy soundtrack
FF7 is my favorite in the series, so it follows that this is my favorite soundtrack of the bunch. If you've played the game, and liked the music, you'll surely enjoy this soundtrack. Most everything is on there, lifted straight from the game and pretty much in order.
-
Final Fantasy VII Reunion TracksGame MusicA lot of tracks from the OST.
Some other orchestated Final Fantasy CDs have all new arrangements of familiar music. Not so here. The majority of the tracks are lifted straight from the Final Fantasy VII OST, no changes whatsoever. The last three are orchestrated versions of the main theme, One-winged Angel, and Aerith's Theme. The arrangements are beautiful (and, in my opinion, worth the cost of the CD) but your opinion may differ. The tracks lifted from the OST are a rather eclectic bunch...not all of the main character themes are present...it really seems that they were selected haphazardly. If you don't have the OST, however, this is a nice starter CD.

EMOTION 20th Anniversary Theme collection - TV version [regular edition]AnimationGreat value!
This 2-CD set contains full versions of various anime opening and ending themes. I purchased it to snag themes from Record of Lodoss War TV, Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, Card Captor Sakura, and Brain Powerd. There are many many more series represented on here, some popular, some obscure. It's a great choice for people with no patience for BGMS (and thus no wish to buy a whole soundtrack). I would love to see more collections like this.

Ai no RinkakuKOKIA(music:yoko kanno)A decent single
Although the quality of the anime "BrainPowerd" may be under debate, the quality of its music is not. This contains the closing theme (full and instrumental versions) and a couple of other songs that have a similar feel. I'm not a huge fan of the cover art, but it's still a worthy purchase.
