Delirium VeilTwilightningREALLY A MUST TO POWER METAL FANS!!!!!!
This is their debut album and let me tell you that the people that worked in this album is really something!!!!! As soon you put the record in your Cd player and listen Gone To The Wall, the opener track, and what a opener!!!! Killer track my friends! The riffing is amazing and the singing is great ! I was blown away by this one! The band stay away from being a clone of Stratovarius & Sonata Arctica, because beside the Power Metal roots, they add a lot of 80 influences like Hard Rock and classic Heavy Metal, cool! At the Forge starts with nice a synth and galloping drums, second song, another killer track, the lead guitar work in this one is amazing. As a matter of fact, I was really impressed by the guitar work all through the album. Seventh Dawn and Enslaved To The Mind are also great tracks. The singer, Heikki has an amazing vocal range, sometimes he reminds me of James LaBrie of Dream Theater, just listen him on Return To Innocence. Amazing!!!!!

DominationMorifadePower Metal band from Sweden
The Swedish melodic Power Metalband MORIFADE returns with their 3rd CD titled Domi<>nation and right from the start you can clearly hear they have progressed. The new CD is probably their best album so far, with a big production (by Andy La Rocque of KING DIAMOND) and a lot of sensational songs. Musically it is in the STRATOVARIUS style, and after playing it a couple of times I am quite sure of myself to say that this new MORIFADE album is as good as both STRATOVARIUS albums from 2003! Opener Parallels for example is a fantastic uptempo Melodic Power Metal song with a very strong catchy chorus. The band also reminds me a bit of SUPREME MAJESTY and even NOCTURNAL RITES comes to mind sometimes, so this is definitely high quality Melodic Power Metal. Other highlights include Clarity, Panopticon and The Rising. Concluded, this is a must-have for fans of Melodic Power Metal!

Far From HeavenAxenstarMelodic power metal
Axenstar is a melodic power metal band from Sweden... After reading this sentence most of you may think No, not again!', since there have been lots of new power metal bands recently. Only a few of them have the potential to jump off this train of new bands which mostly sound more or less all quite similar. To me it seems like Axenstar is still trying to break away from all these bands, but their latest album Far From Heaven is indeed stronger than their debut Perpetual Twilight. Of course you can still recognize their biggest influences like Helloween, Sonata Arctica and Rhapsody in their songs, but this doesn't mean that they are copying these bands. Axenstar is a band full of energy and their songs have catchy melodies, speedy parts, nice guitar solos and actually everything you need to become a good power metal band. Best songs of this album would be the title-song Far From Heaven, Children Forlorn and perhaps Abandoned. Who knows? Nevertheless, if you are a fan of this genre and especially if you like these influencial bands mentioned above, you really should check out Axenstar.

Worlds ApartSilent ForceOutstanding
This latest effort is a bit more of the last albuns but with some progression in the songwriting. If you know this band, you will already know what you are in for. The album starts out rocking with the track 'Ride the Storm'. There is alot of consistency to this album from the standpoint of elements used. Keyboards accent well, but never really get in the way. When I mention accent, songs like 'Hold On', 'Once Again', or even 'Heroes' could be lacking without the depth added by the keys. The good majority of this album is very guitar driven which is great by me. I guess overall, you could say the music is pretty well balanced which gives it a great delivery. Some of the other tracks I liked included 'Death Comes in Disguise' which has some great Cooper vocal work, 'Spread Your Wings' which is one of the most melodic and laid back, the frenzied 'Heart Attack', and the closer and title track 'Worlds Apart'. Great vocals, hard driving guitar and rhythm section and not to forget the keyboard work which nails it. I found very good balance with this record. The band should have a great run if they continue this natural progression they are currently in. Very solid release in my opinion!

Legend Of The Bone CarverPYRAMAZEGREAT POWER METAL
Pyramaze plays a nice Progressive Power Metal. The music of the band is always powerful but also a bit dark and the numerous lines of Keyboards in the pure Progressive spirit give evidently something more to the music of the Danish combo. Also the music of Pyramaze isn't something easy, it's complex technical the riffs are catchy but not common and at the end it never boring. For all the ones who know the first album, don't worry, the musicians are still great and Lance King is better than ever. I don't have to talk a lot about the perfect production, the sound is good and one more time the cover is excellent, you are in front of a great album, a great band. No need to be really long to close this chapter, Legend Of The Bone Carver is a really good album and it is the confirmation of the talent of the Danish band. If you like Power (real one) and Progressive music, don't miss this album and you'll probably agree with me to say that it is a pure must.

Inhuman RampageDragonforceEpic,Maniacal,Musical Virtuosity!!!
Inhuman Rampage shows only slight progression from their previous efforts. All the signature Dragonforce elements are there: the guitar duals between Li and Totman, the blastbeats, the somewhat cheesy fantasy-themed lyrics, the overall epic atmosphere, and the insane riffs. The band has also experimented with the keyboard sound on this release, bringing Pruzhanov keys more into the foreground to compete with the dualing guitarists. The riffs are as catchy as the bubonic plague, and the solos are pure bedlam. Through the fire and Flames is the perfect opener for this album. Storming the Burning fields has some really awesome blastbeats. Cry For Eternity may sound on paper like the next Death Cab for Cutie hit, but has the most furious solos on the album. Here, the keyboard is treated as another guitar. Trial by Hearts is an interesting end to the album. This album is far from perfect. It is nice to see the band taking advantage of better production, but they just go overboard at times. It is fast. Very, very fast. The band themselves describe their music as extreme power metal. Indeed, the genre seems to have been created by Dragonforce. Amazing album, for fans of the genre anyway.
