Smile (Clear Vinyl)Takeo MoriyamaA Beautiful Reissue of a Jazz ClassicThis clear-vinyl reissue of Smile by Takeo Moriyama exceeded my expectations in every way. The pressing quality is excellent—quiet, clean, and with great clarity even in the more intense passages. Moriyama’s drumming feels incredibly dynamic, and the transparency of the vinyl actually gives the album a unique visual charm when spinning. The packaging is simple but tasteful, and the jacket reproduction is crisp. Even though the item is now no longer available, I’m very happy I managed to secure a copy. For fans of Japanese jazz or collectors looking for high-quality reissues, this pressing is absolutely worth having. Highly recommended.

Schumann: Complete Symphonies, Overture to the Theatre Music "Manfred", Overture, Scherzo and Finale (2025 Mastering) [Tower Records Limited] [SACD Hybrid]Wolfgang Sawallisch, Staatskapelle DresdenNewly remastered classicThis new remastering for SACD delivers these classic, but energetic accounts of Schumann's symphonies in possibly the best way sound-wise.

To-Darkness Golden Darkness (Konjiki no Yami)Darkness Ver.I feel ripped off...The figurine can't stay on its stand, not only that but the claws and horns are definitely a hazard given how I just got a new kitten and I'm worried she may accidentally stab herself on them. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful figurine but between the faulty stand and sharp hazards, I don't recommend this. Especially if you have pets or children running around.

Shostakovich: Symphonies No.10 & No.15 [SHM-SACD] [Limited Release]Bernard Haitink (conductor)Another SHM-SACD to haveAs with the parallel released SHM-SACD featuring the 4th symphony, this album also benefits from the new DSD remastering. Stunning sound, you wouldn't guess that these recordings are almost 50 years old. A real gem of the late analogue DECCA catalogue.

Street Fighter Series Chun-Li -Standby-Amazing figureThis figure of Chun-Li if absolutely fabulous. The detail is great. I really like the calm, realistic-looking face. Good price for such a big figure. I only with the stand would be more heavy and detailed. Otherwise, Chun-Li herself is PERFECT. Comes in an incredibly stylish box, which is an art in itself. HIGHLY recommended.

Shostakovich: Symphony No.4 [SHM-SACD] [Limited Release]Bernard Haitink (conductor)Glorious sound - challenging workI listened to the SHM-SACD UCGD-9122 with Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 4, performed by Bernard Haitink and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. This recording has always been powerful, but the new remastering by UK ClassicSound makes it shine even more. The sound is clear, rich, and very detailed. I could hear the orchestra with great depth, from the quiet passages to the huge climaxes. The performance itself is strong and dramatic, and while the symphony is far from easy-listening—it is a complex and demanding work—the excellent sound quality allows me to appreciate its full intensity.

Ueno Kun Ha Kaihatsu Zumi 3 (Young Magazine KC Special)Nakaura Tomo KiEcchi mangaThis volume keeps the awkward and raw coming-of-age vibe strong. The mix of cringe and humor really makes it stand out from typical college dramas.

Ueno Kun Ha Kaihatsu Zumi 4 (Young Magazine KC Special)Nakaura TomokiGood panelVolume 4 of Ueno Kun wa Kaihatsuzumi stays true to its raw and uncomfortable tone, focusing on the protagonist’s awkward college debut and the messy, often painful exploration of his sexuality. The story captures the intensity of youth with its unique mix of dark humor and cringe-worthy moments, keeping the reader hooked and empathizing with the struggles. A bold and honest continuation of the series.

Final Fantasy IX Music Box A Place to Call HomeOnly wish it were longerIt is such a pleasure to listen to this theme, I hope one day we'll get a full version of the song. As it is it's still really enjoyable, Square-Enix knows how to deliver the music box format. Still, since this is one of my favourite Final Fantasy themes, I regret that the loop is so short.

Seija no Koshin [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]Salyu X haruka nakamuraI stayed for the beautiful songsThis album is short but really beautiful. I wanted to check it out after watching Trigun Stampede and hearing the two songs used in the endings but really, the alternate and long versions are a marvel.

THE COMPLETE BEATLES #9THE BEATLESWonderful Anthology Type SeriesWonderfful collection telling the Beatles’s story in chronological order. Fascinating insight into the development of their music. Unfortunately it seems this may be the last given the time elapsed with no further releases having appeared.

Kininaru Sonoki no Uta / Akaruku Yoi Ko [Regular Edition / Type A]Morning Musume. '25Morning Musume 25 is stronger than ever! This song title translated: "Song About That Feeling I'm Curious About" is a very fun song with a nice beat and great singing from all the members! Senior members leading the Junior members and they can all be heard very distinctly in this song. The CD itself has very nice production values. Very attractive cover showing 11 members (minus Kitagawa), a separate Post Card with the same picture was a bonus item and inside the CD case mine came with an Ikuta Erina card. Very beautiful presentation overall. Morning Musume have a bright future ahead and I would love to see them in concert in my city in the future.

Re:vale 2nd Album "Re:flect In" [Limited Edition / Type B]Re:valeDon't buy thisI bought this for the bonus track since that was a limited edition release...but I didn't know or realize that those limited editions were also time based, so I spent money for an expired code. So don't buy this version (or the other limited edition version either), just get the normal one

Her hobbies and her passions for life and her love for nature are presented throughout each month in full page sized photos. TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)Nine Inch NailsAnother fantastic Tron SoundtrackJust like with Daft Punk before, on the Iron: Legacy soundtrack, NIN overshadows the disappointing movie with an amazing soundtrack. As much as I love Daft Punk's Iron score from a several years ago, this one by NIN is better. I put this on while I work and there are several times where I'll do some serious chair dancing as NIN pounds out some slamming tracks. Plus, the limited edition packaging was really cool. The packaging is a throwback to floppy disk packaging from the 1980s... just perfect. The only thing that could've made this better is if the CD had been in the SHM-CD format, but this still sounds great. Disney should just keep hiring great electronic/industrial artists to keep making scores for Tron movies that don't exist, since the soundtracks have outshined the last two movies.
