One of my favourite Rush albums. I compared this version with the 1997 remaster and the differences (as always) were fairly subtle, but well worth having. They were particularly apparent at higher volume. The 97 version is much more digital sounding. It grates slightly. The SHM-cd is more listenable, less splashy, tighter bass. I love the packaging. Very expensive, but well worth owning.

RUSH
Yep,,, "missed" this one when I was younger but glad to discover it now in best sound possible. So, first copy of this nice cd and probably the last one I ever need to buy.
Imagine a great big owl printed right on this SHM-CD , just like on the album's cover??? These Shm-CDs are NOT the same boring , silver , 1997 re-mastered CDs. Then imagine if MOFI had re-mastered this album in 2009 times 2??? These RUSH / SHM-CDs not only sound excellent but they look great too. FLY BY NIGHT , has a little more volume but not too much. As with ALL of these RUSH / Shm-CDs the sound is clear and clean with 0 harshness. You will be amazed that you can hear every note so clearly. No instrument gets lost in the RUSH rock chaos mix. The sound is stunningly beautiful. Finally , RUSH , as it was meant to be heard!!!
FANTASTIC REISSUE OF THE SECOND RUSH ALBUM AND YO CAN HEAR AND SEE HOW THINGS CHANGED A LITTLE WITH NEIL IN THE BAND AT THIS POINT, THE SOUND ON THIS IS AMAZING, WONDERFUL REISSUE A MUST FOR ANY RUSH COLLECTOR!!!!!!!
