I ordered this as soon as I saw it (or rather, got it as a 2-month-early b-day present), and it's definitely worth the price! If you like any of Yoko Kanno's other works, you'll love all the music for GITS:SAC, and the little Tachikoma songs and clips on the mem stick are very cute (all are in Japanese). The music itself is quite varied, and is sung in several different languages (depending on the song). There's English, Italian, Russian, Japanese, and...something else I couldn't identify. If you own some or most of the 5 released albums, you probably won't be too interested in this (seeing as all are included). The bonus disk "O.S.T. 4 - Smooth in the Shell" contains about 45 min. worth of music (different songs) in one continuous track, and of course there's the other bonuses on the memory stick. If you can get a hold of one of these sets, you definitely SHOULD!

Animation Soundtrack (Music by Yoko Kanno)
An amazing box of textured sound from the genious that is Yoko Kanno. I never purchased the individual soundtracks as I guessed there may be a box set later on. For those who don't mind shelling out (pun intended) for the set it really is a must. The package design alone is a work of art, fragile though it is. And the Tachikoma..ish flash drive is cute, and contains some cool stuff. Just buy it before it vanishes forever.
The most complete soundtrack from any anime series you could hope to own. The plastic casing can be problematic and does not lend it self to repeated opening and closing.
When i first saw that there was going to be a release of the complete score for the Stand Alone Complex series, i was not to sure if i was going to buy it having already purchaced the original CD's, But Oh! Boy! I'm so glad that i did. The whole 6 Disc's are superb.Also unless im mistaken it seems like the whole score has been remasterd. It sound absolutly amazing! Far better than before. Aonther classic score from the genius thst is Yoko Kanno. Buy it now before it's gone. you won't regret it.
