This album renewed my faith in R n R 5

There just wasn't any good "balls to the wall" rock being recorded around this time, at least nothing that could speak to me.This is Thin Lizzy on steroids! One of my all time favorites.

Holy Thunder 5

Wow I have been waiting a long time for this cd to be remastered. Well it was worth the wait. I have the Wounded Bird version on cd. But this one blows that one out of the water. Most of the time I hate the shm bonus disc , with the demo & live material. But not this baby. The live at Hammersmith cuts are terrific. Love the long version of Angel of death. Thin Lizzy are one of the greatest live bands ever.

TOTAL LIZZY CLASSIC 5

over the past 30 years regardless of what anyone may say this is my second favorite thin lizzy album and im so glad they finally deluxed this so nice and the shm mastering is awesome as always and the replica of the gatefold lp is just superb, anyway many thought thin lizzy sounded to heavy and a bit sloppy with this record and to a degree that is true but that was what made thin lizzys last album in 1983 such a classic, the sun goes down is a masterpeice what a killer ballad, one of the best ballads out of the early 80s in my opinion, the album opens up and roars with the title track and then takes you right into this is the one, there really is not a bad song on this album, all the bonus stuff on disc 2 is awesome and its a must own for anyone who calls themselves a thin lizzy fan, sadly as we all know thin lizzy was dying a horrible death as a band in general when this record was made, it is just amazing in itself this record even WAS MADE, i think phil was kind of being told what to do by the producers at this point in time and during this time the uk and europe where getting blasted by the nwobhm so that was why this record was so heavy i felt, regardless of phils bad situation at this time so to say he was still able to write these killer timeless songs and leave us with this GREAT CLASSIC ALBUM..... sadly his post thin lizzy band grand slam could not touch this at all, also JOHN SYKES was introduced to the world on this record after being yanked out of tygers of pan tang to join thin lizzy just a month or so before this was recorded, play this LOUD!!!! that was the way this was meant to sound!!!!!!!!
