Very Good ! 5

This album has not disappointed me even if it's much different compared to her Japanese ones, songs like ''Exodus '04'' and ''Kremlin Dusk'' are masterpiecies. The only defect... she could avoid the explicit lyrics ...

2nd English CD, its really good :) 5

Hey, Finally i got Exodus, and have been listening to it all day, and I have to admit, its really really good. Keeping in mind it's her first proper attempt at touching the english speaking market (there was cubic u), and taking into account the freedom of expression english can offer an artist, I am really imressed. It's a shame DefJam didnt do more to promote it, but hey, cant win them all. Anyways, looking forward to the DVD of her latest 2006 Concerts. Take care. :)

awesome 5

I bought this CD the day it came out in the US, and I told everyone I knew to buy it too. I love this CD. Hikki's voice is just amazing on every track. What's kinda disappointing about it, is that the tracks that Timbaland actually produced sort of sound the same - you can TELL they were produced by him before you even read the booklet. HOWEVER, that doesn't take away from the CD. Hikki is an amazing artist and EVERYONE should have this CD!

The New Utada 4

I am already a fan of Hikaru Utada since a couple of years. When I bought "Exodus" and listened to the album, at first I was a little bit dissapointed because the album doesn’t sound that Hikki-like. But when I listened to it more and more often, I really got into the music and I became really enthusiastic about it. Hikki’s voice is something special - as always. Within this album you can recognize the influence of the time that she has spent in New York: Groovy, easy-going and relaxed. New York meets Tokyo meets Utada! Once again Hikaru Utada has demonstrated how great she is in reinventing herself and in enhancing both herself and also her music. The upcoming 14 tracks feature an attractive blend of dance, funk, pop, alternative and various other music styles. Hikki has written and produced all of the songs by herself - exempt from 2 tracks, where Timberland assisted her. Especially the ones I good hooked up on, were track 2 to 6 and 11. "Exodus" is a sparkler. Indeed not her best album, but still something very special that is worth to be heard.
