I really liked this single. It was a lot different than their other stuff, and I liked the fact that Kyo did a lot more singing than usual.

People were always telling me how Kyo couldn't sing anymore and that Dir en grey were just nothing but screams...well... this COMPLETELY proves them wrong...Kyo's voice is just as amazing as it ever was and the remix of Hydra is fantastic!! I am so happy i purchased this and look forward to more of their new songs because their style changes so much with every new album!!

This was my first order from CDJapan, and I was very happy to be able to order a limited edition CD. About the packaging: very exquisite, I really loved the neat green paper. The poster was folded without any crumple, no harm done to it or the CD during all the postal process it went through from Japan to Hungary. The delivery was very fast; got the CD on October 26th, 2 days after it came out, yet I live on the other side of the planet from Japan. Thank you CDJapan! About the music: Dozing Green - got to be Dir en grey's best song since Kodou. A definite favorite. Very mysterious and also dynamic, reflects pain. Brand new sound for Dir en grey and I love Kyo's acpella at the end. Hydra-666- A nice re-recording of the old song, with much heavier sound and darker lyrics. I could listen to it over and over. Agitated Screams of Maggots Live - God, Kyo is God with that acapella as an intro! Wonderful recording. Kyo's talents as an exceptional vocalist stand out.

as ever, one song ist better then the last and its not importend if its a fast, hard ore a more balade like musicfile diru are always great :)

Dir en grey have yet to dispose of their highly progressive style in favor of a more dependable, solid style, but in no way is that negative. Dozing Green is sure to be another controversial release among the fans, regaining some lost fans while at the same time losing some current fans. Dozing Green features a lot of elements that could be influenced by their earlier work, but they continue to incorporate new elements into their style. Kyo's insane vocals convey the emotions of the songs, while the instrumentation mixed in with the electronic samplings make for another unique release. The live version of Agitated Screams of Maggots includes an a capella intro, a new element incorporated into their concerts in the last year. Dozing Green is a fantastic single, along with a powerful and catchy B-side (Hydra -666-) which is not merely a remix of their earlier original Hydra, but rather a completely new take on Hydra. I have yet to find anything disappointing about this release, which has grown to be very much a personal favorite. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone with an open mind regarding their musical tastes, because Dozing Green is another radical release.

Dir en Grey has never disepointed me.. And this new single is probaly one of the best.. Die and Kaoru is so intense.. Words can not descripe how great Kyo's voice is on this cd... You'll have to buy it and hear... you will, for sure, not regret it.. Not if you like Dir en Grey half as much as I do..

What can I say? Diru do it again. This single rocks. Dozing Greens is brutal and beautiful at the same time. Hydra its a new touch... very diffrents from the original song. The live track is just nice. I got a lovely stickers with this single

After their full-album release which I didn't enjoy that much, it was really nice to get this single. I love Dozing green and the "destruction and reworking" of Hydra made me love that song again. I really recommend this single.

I didn't like the Agitated Scream of Maggots single very much but I was expecting something great from DeG with Dozing Green... and oh YEAH!I enjoy Dozing Green a lot!Great song, very cool. The new version of Hydra is pretty cool, the original Hydra is a great song and the new version is great as well. Agitated Scream of Maggots live version it's nice but since it's not one of my favorite songs I can't really say "omg so cool!!" But, the single is great :)

This is a really good single. The sound quality is great, and I love the album art :). I think it would make a better gift for a Dir en grey fan rather than something to enhance your discography though.

not a bad song, a good single, not the one who i always listen to, but it's a good one, it's make me think of the old dir en grey =) I like this kind of single, it's better than agitated scream of maggots who have nothing to do in a single (but the live of this song in dozing green is not bad) and I really don't like the new version of hydra, when I ear it in the Zenith live, I was thinking "hey, i don't know this song O_O what's this song ?"

This single is possibly one of the best yet; I really enjoyed it. The new song is great and the remake of Hydra was excellent. I really reccomend this for every Dir en grey fan.

CDJ shipped the item unbelievably quickly, it arrived 3 days after my order to the UK. The song is brilliant, Kyo's voice, though a little strained still sounds beautiful. Toshiya's bass shines on here. The lyrics are very poetic. Hydra -666- sounds pretty far removed from the original, though still retaining the dark feeling of the Macabre album. Full of growls and screams, with bitter cutting lyrics and delicately handled guitar melodies, this track stands out. Not much to say for the live track, lively as always, though the vocals aren't too clear. Overall, worth adding to your Deg collection and a good introductory single to Dir en grey if you've never heard them. Packaging is very pretty, as is the lyrics sheet and sticker.

Once you hear this song once you can't stop listening to it! Granted in the beginning of the song, the style of guitar is similar to some American rock, but after the first 20 seconds you get slammed into a song with such a varying degree of vocal tones and an outright show of vocal diversity, with an ever-changing multi-layered background with a steady strong stream of percussion that is a perfect match for the song. It's nothing short of entrancing. The smooth melodies lead into piercing crescendos, accentuating the emotions that are being conveyed that break the language beerier with the up most ease. DOZING GREEN is a perfect example of the creativity and constant evolution of Dir en grey as a band and as composers. The single flows into HYDRA -666-, which is of a similar style to DOZING GREEN, though it has a completely different undertone to it and is far more aggressive. As for Agitated Screams of Maggots, it would have been an out of this world live track if the sound quality would have been better. This single is a must have if you are a fan of Dir en grey! Even if this is the first CD you are buying of theirs, you will not be disappointed.

It's great to see Dir en grey re-examine lusher arrangements. "Dozing Green" rekindles memories of "Hotarubi", but with Kyo's new voice. While it's still an unrefined instrument, he's able to use it in new and powerful ways. There's lots of vocal range in all 3 tracks, from tonal moans to anguished screams. "Hydra -666-" is a complete rebuild of the song, almost unrecognizable, but in a good way. The inclusion of 1 live track instead of two is a fine choice, offering a taste of the band's live presence. The mix is well-balanced and bright, with only a slight bit of muddiness in the live track, which is a minor quibble. Overall, this is a great way to tide you over until the next show and album.
