After Clever Sleazoid is nice to have a song like this. You can really tell how their music progress is more evidently. I love their lives with my favorite songs: The final and Mr. Newsman Really nice single.
Ryojoku no Ame [Limited Edition] Customer Reviews
Dir en grey
This CD is an amazing testimony to DeG's progression through the years. It's still as hard as they've been recently, but it's also as melodic and thoughtful as ever.
I personally liked Ryojoku no ame..I'm sure it'll sound a lot better on their The Marrow of A bone cd >>.>> But overal this single was really awesome.
Ryojoku no Ame coaxed some finely-sung vocals from Kyo, with anguished screams joining them. This is a track that grew on me after a couple of listens. Dir en grey's rhythm section keeps getting better and better, even as the guitars grind and scrape in harsher pulses and melodies. It's great to see the band trying new things out, as they do here. That said, fans of their earlier sound, circa Vulgar or Gauze, will find traces of their old band, but not much more. New arrivals to Dir en grey will find this track a logical progression to Withering to death. The live tracks are good additions, but it would have been nice to have another original song on the disc, given the expense.
I love this single. The song is amazing and it's normal Dir en greyesque music. Older fans and newer fans would love this single. If you don't want to get the single wait until Marrow of a bone comes out to get this song
I've been a huge fan of Dir en grey for a few years now, which is nothing compared to some people, but I was lucky enough to experience their musical shift as it happened. They lost a lot of their fan base when they grew out of the Visual Kei, but the true fans of the music will always be around to worship their incredible talent. Ryojoku no Ame is a wonderful song. The energy and passion conveyed by Kyo's vocals is matched only by the power of Kaoru, Die, Toshiya, and Shinya on their instruments. The lyrics are meaningful and hit close to your heart, whether you've experienced a similar feeling or not. And as always the lives are outstanding. This is a must have for any Dir en grey fan.
Ryoujoku no ame is a striking tour de force with crunchy guitars, haunting melody, and emotional vocals, with soul-wrenching screams from Kyo. Passionate, and unique songs like this are the reason that after nearly 10 years, I'm still an avid Dir en grey fan.
I give it a 4 because I REALLY liked the new song, and the bonus poster I got with the limited edition was nice. The live songs, however, were simply unimpressive...but then again, that's not what I bought it for. I'm still glad I got it.
Eeeek, Dir en grey has made it again! I know a lot of people didn't like CLEVER SLEAZOID, personally I love it. But this single has the more polished sound that I think fans of Diru who didn't like CLEVER SLEAZOID will really love. As for the poster I am thrilled about it, because I didn't expect it to be that big! It was really a bonus ^.^
Hot. I absolutely love it. The song is so powerful and melodic and just... hot. Yeah. I LOVE KAORU OMFG. :D
A nice, solid release fro Dir en Grey. They mix there new aggressive side with the older, melodic music. The only problem I have with this single is that there should be at least one other B-Side. Hearing the same tracks re-used over and over from DVDs, CDs and singles kinda got old quick. But don't let that stop you from picking this up!
^^ I love it! Perfect like everything else before. The song is a musical poem and a memory to a wonderful night.
Dir en grey's new single Ryoujoku no Ame is just amazing.....Awesome song, very different from everything that they've done in the past.... Dir en grey are always different and they are changing their music with every single song.... Ryoujoku no Ame is the perfect example for that. I think that everyone who loves Dir en grey should buy that single because it's really worth it and besides that the live songs are amazing and you can totaly feel the atmosphere on their lives!!!Buy that single and you won't regret!!!:)
First off, the packaging this single comes in is less than thrilling. This song is, in my opinion, a mediocre attempt to reclaim their glory of VULGAR or Kisou after CLEAVER SLEAZOID. I love Dir en grey, dont get me wrong, but this song has no real defining melodies of anything that make it something I would really want to listen to a second time. Pick this one up, if not only for the live tracks which aren't that bad; but should you find a pressing need for amazing Diru... go grab your copy of VULGAR.
I don't remember this song being so good when I heard it at the concert in Berlin. But WOW! Its amazing!I've waiting so long for dir en grey to release something new and now its here.... Dir en grey is back mofo! :D
Wow, I'm so happy I bought this cd. It was worth the money and the wait to ship it. Ryojoku no Ame (Rain of Insult) is a amazing song. As well as all the live stuff, it puts you in the front row and makes you feel like you are right there. Plus the poster that came with it is iceing on the cake, as well as the really cool cd case. If you like/love Dir en grey, buy this cd now! It's well worth it.
Despues del chasco que me lleve con el Clever, me sorprendio muy gratamente esta cancion, esperemos que mantengan esta linea para el proximo disco^^
the new song is pretty good! i love it! i perfectly remember these songs from columbiahalle! i was amazed to hear kyo's voice! i love the way when he just loses his breath! his voice is so.. wonderfully wanting! it's like a present for me - i was there. it was worth!!
Ryojoku no Ame is such a lovely song, and the lives included with this are so good. Plus the packaging is awesome.
When I first heard that Dir en grey was coming out with a new single, I had to get it. I only own Withering to death., so I jumped at the first chance to get it. The title song, RYOJOKU NO AME, is great, and I hope it appears on their next album. Kyo's voice is as great as ever, and I like the direction that the band is headed in. As for the live tracks, THE FINAL is definitely the best of the three, while HIGEKI WA MABUTA WO OROSHITA YASASHIKI UTSU is by far the worst; you can barely hear Kyo's voice in it. Mr. NEWSMAN is almost as good as THE FINAL, but it lacks in some parts (also towards the end, you can hear the song "Child prey" beginning to play). I'm going to be seeing Dir en grey at the Family Values Tour on the 20th in Sacramento, and comparing Kyo's vocals on this single to his vocals at the Rock AM Ring a few months earlier seems odd: He sounds like a completely different person here, whereas his voice continually gave-out at the Rock AM Ring show. Overall, though, I was pleased with spending about 20 dollars for the single, and I hope that their next album is as good as their previos releases.
