Tennis no Ohjisama (The Prince of Tennis) - Navigate DVD Customer Reviews

This DVD is on the making of the live action movie for The Prince of Tennis. It's like an informative behind the scenes extra they throw onto the Tenimyu DVDs occasionally. I think this DVD is better then the movie it self. You more or less see everything worth watching in the movie, and get random shots of the Tenimyu boys which is probably why you are watching this in the first place. Still it is shallow, and isn't nearly as funny. And there is allways the added dissapointment of the Hyotei casting. if you have no interest in the tenimyu boys, and are just a random Prince of Tennis fan, this is not the movie for you.

Buy the Navigate DVD to see behind the scenes clips of the filming for the Prince of Tennis movie. It's great to hear Shirota Yuu (who plays Tezuka Kunimitsu in the movie) narrate for the audience. Nice overall introduction to the characters and their actors, a must buy for fans of Prince of Tennis and the musicals. Why musicals? Because all the actors playing the Seigaku regulars are the same 2nd generation Seigaku actors in the musicals. The only actor change is for Ryoma, but we have the ultra cute Hongo Kanata playing Ryoma! Shirota Yuu (Tezuka), Kaji Masaki (Momo), Suzuki Hiroki (Oishi), Adachi Osamu (Eiji), Aiba Hiroki (Fuji), Kujirai Kousuke (Kaidoh), Kotani Yoshikazu (Taka-san) and Araki Hirofumi (Inui) get to display their acting talents and show all their hardwork to the Prince of Tennis fans. Overall, it's a great DVD to watch for fans wanting to get a sneak peak at the movie and all the behind the scenes action that goes on to make the movie.

For everyone who wants to know what happened behind the scene at the shooting of CinePuri is this DVD an must-have! You will love it! It shows you so much backstage material, not only Seigaku but also Hyotei, the training and Konomi-san!

I think it's going to be an interesting DVD, I'm looking forward to seeing the Movie (i wish they didn't change the seigaku team members)
