Great album to have. Include of all the musical soundtracks from the anime. The only vocal soundtrack is "Its only the fairytale" One of the few most recognizable song from the series. Recording of the ablum is pretty good. Most of the song sounds great on vacuum tube amplifiers. All in all, a good collection for Mai hime fans..

Animation Soundtrack
Great mix of classical and modern music - it's a pleasure to listen to even without having seen the anime.
one of the best songs i listen in anime music: if you like mix of classic music with other styles (rock and techno): this is a good choise. album alternate slow and hard titles (my favorites: when the girls fight: look at the anime). You can look at my hime ost 1 and 2, my otome ost 1 and 2 and my hime: last moment, 5 CD that you must have (or try disc: "best collection"). I like "last moment", "materielaze" :-),...
While this soundtrack sounds like many other Yuki Kajiura soundtracks, her use of synthesized "sturm und drang" is more restrained, the vocals more haunting, making it (and its companion volume 2), one of Kajiura's best soundtracks. While My HiME had its comic moments (and the music behind those moments is present on this disk), the music is most effective when it is serious. Also present on this disk is the lovely "Fairytale" song sung by Yuko Miyamura (Alyssa Sears).
