The name of the ROSE 5

The Name of the Rose is still D's best release, I have no doubt about it. It's just a great and solid album, probably one of the best debut albums I've ever heard. This limited edition includes a cool DVD with the Sleeper PV and an extra booklet with pictures from the PV set.

A gem 5

Absolute gold! Not one bad song, and they all flow very nicely with one another. This is the CD that tempted me to make D my new favorite band over Lareine. Sleeper, Yami yori Kurai Dokoku no A Cappella to Bara yori Akai Jonetsu no Aria, and track 8 (Since I can't read Kanji) are my top picks. Asagi's voice is wonderful as always, and I love the PV...No one else could have been the sleeper in that bed. Very well done.

The name of the ROSE w/DVD 5

I absolutely love this cd, it was worth the extra wait for CdJapan to restock. Asagi has one of the most wonderful singing voices I've ever heard, the music the band composes is amazing, and the lyrics are beautifully poetic, and have real depth like all lyrics should have. The DVD it came with, Sleeper, was one of their more plain videos, but was still wonderful. There is not one song on this cd that disappoints me at all.

Solid Album 4

While lacking some of the flare of D's previous releases, The name of the ROSE is nevertheless a solid, very enjoyable album. 'Yami...aria' is definitely the gem of the release, though the remainder of the album is still an enjoyable listen with high replay value, showcasing well the dark gothic rock music that is D. The Sleeper music video, however, was rather disappointing, and in hindsight I should have forgone this purchase to go for the regular release with the bonus tracks.

D's 1st Full Album! 5

D is one of the most talented indies band I've listened. Asagi's singing skills are just amazing. They just keep getting better and better. All of the tracks are amazing, you won't be disappointed. The Limited Edition comes with a PV, which is very well done.

Just wonderful ! 5

the original style of D transports easily (same for one who's not initiates with the J-rock I think, thanks to their Western musical influences!) and you'll surprise yourself to sing at the same time as Asagi without even knowing the lyrics ! You'll vibrate at the first listening and soon Cd turn again and again on the player without you remembering to push the repeat key ! " Yami yori kurai doukoku no acapella... " is undoubtedly the most beautiful but also the more surprising songs of the album. Asagi lets us discover all the capacites of its incredible voice, as opera voice or even with the deep breath vampiric voice, seduisante and hypnotizing. Also it's not without pointing out the incredible performances of Jui from Vidoll! To finish, this collector edition is very nice, with a small but complete booklet which will charm the fans, and the PV Sleeper is, of course, very good !!

Complete Perfection 5

D is one of the most polished Indies bands I've listened to. The quality of The name of the ROSE is so professional you'd think that you were listening to a major band. Asagi's vocal range from a deep baritone to falsetto is impressive. His voice complements the band and they leave you wanting more. The cd consists of 10 tracks, but they are 10 great tracks so that you will not have to fast forward through any of them. This Limited Edition version comes with the PV Sleeper on DVD. The DVD is All Region. Also, a photobook accompanies the cd and everything fits in a cardboard case .

Very nice! 5

I love every song on this album and think it was the best release of 2005. The difference between this version and the other Limited Edition The name of the ROSE, is that the PV on this version is for the last track on the album, Sleeper. Considering Sleeper is my favorite song on the CD, I especially loved to see the PV for it, and was not disappointed. Very nice camera work yet again. Stunning.
