LOVEppears Customer Reviews
Ayumi Hamasaki
this is the second album from Ayumi Hamasaki. This Cd is so cool. Inludes my favourites song like "Fly high", "Trauma" and bonus remixes.
A great album. Monochrome, Fly High, TO BE are a fabulous songs. Love so much this album. Boys & girls is so nice. The second cd is nice but I don't love remix. But A song for XX is a beautiful.
While Ayumi Hamasaki's debut album "A Song for XX" was very successful, it was the follow up "LOVEppears" that shot her into ultimate super stardom. Gone is the laid back, relaxing atmosphere of "A Song for XX" and in comes the up beat, dance/pop music genre with lyrics that dwell deeper into emotions. I was very impressed with "LOVEppears", since I don't listen to some of its singles as much as others but songs such as "Fly high", "Trauma", "And Then", "End roll", "LOVE ~refrain~" and "Who..." really makes you appreciate Ayumi's vocal style during the "LOVEppears" era and also can be some of the most played songs in her catalogue. The bonus CD containing two megamixes and remixes is a treat to. I prefer the Euro megamix to the House remix but the acoustic version of "POWDER SNOW" is one of the main reasons to buy the whole album. Being my favourite song from "A Song for XX" it really is fantastic to listen to it acoustically and you can properly feel the emotions through Ayumi's voice. In other words, this is a fantastic album for any J-Pop fan and a must have for an Ayumi fan.
Really enjoyable album as every album from Ayu ^__^ It's my favourite from her early albums. And by the way, it has a hidden track kanariya ^^ The disc 2 was also great - many CMs, magazines etc, especially I liked Ayu's voice part ^^
This was a pretty good album from Ayu, although honostly I wasn't expecting anything less than that. Despite the fact that I don't think Loveppears totally lives up to it's reputation of being a "better" album than A Song For, it DOES stand on it's own as one of those Ayu items that isn't like anything else she's done. I only wish there had been more upbeat songs like Whatever on here instead of all those " Happy Eurobeat" songs like Trauma, Fly High and Boys&Girls. The song Kanariya wasn't even on here and that's one of my favorite songs by her. The ballads though are amazing especially the songs Appears which is the only song that continues the music styles from A Song For, and End Roll. The second disc was a nice little gift. Once you get past the two Mega Mixes, which were nothing compared to the one on her Ayu-Ro-Mix 3 Remix Album, the alternate versions for A Song For, Powder Snow and Friend II were really great. So Loveppears is not a bad second album at all. Buy it if you have all her others first.
What a great material!MY GOODNESS!I love every track, the booklet's cute and the Disc 2 estra stuff is AWESOME! I love the extras included...The cover is just THE BEST I THINK!
'A Song for XX' was indeed an impressive album, but it's with 'LOVEppears' where you really get how amazing Ayumi's music is. Not only is she more confident with her singing, the songwriting has improved enormously! Showing right from the start that the laid back feel from the debut is nowhere to be found here, Fly high and Trauma are two upbeat songs that set the mood! And Then, Boys & Girls, TO BE, WHATEVER, appears and Who... are some of my favorites. A superior follow-up, with more variation and injected with song writing by the highly talented D-A-I (mastermind behind Do As Infinity) 'LOVEppears' is a much better album and also has a better flow and is a guaranteed hit to any fan of Ayumi!
I really enjoy listening to this album! And I was very surprised with CD-Extra!! Many making-photos, CM and more!!! Love it!!
A great mix between fastpaced and slow songs. Lots of classic tracks on these discs which makes it a perfect addition to any Ayu collection. Well worth the money.
I love any thing that is by Ayu. I had to have her first album in my collection. I am getting every Cd she was made.
I bought her first CD "A Song For XX" and I only like 3 or 4 songs. This CD, I only like 2. If Duty isn't up to par, then I'm dropping Ayumi from my list. I really hope her third album is above par.
