More than excellent! Everything is perfect!. Even if you are no fan of the anime, you should just buy it because of it's greatness. The Movie is superbly animated. The dvds with the special features are fenomenal (interviews, audio, everything!). And of course, the Delux box set is something no one should miss, is magnificently ilustrated. Also the book card has to be in your collection.

The FMA movie is good, but the extra goodies that came along with this limited edition DVD is even more fantastic^_^ The illustrated card book especially is absoultely beautiful, and the box (with Ed and Al's pic on each side)in which all these goodies are housed in just makes the whole package even more perfect!

A must-have for any Hagaren fan. Even if you do not know Japanese, it doesn't really matter as the release has English subtitles, and while they might have been a little bit inaccurate at places, the overall quality was very good. As for those who can speak the language, the extra features are priceless, lots of fun little details. The booklet alone would nearly be worth it in my opinion. ^^

I've had this since the launch day, but I couldn't write a review until now. But what can I say everyone else haven't already? The plot is completely unexpected, I love the music and enviroment, the feeling itself that provokes to say it someway. Besides that, the DVD extras appeal most of fans, which is the main reason I bought this, a great purchase!

I was a big fan of the series, and when I found I could buy the movie with english subtitles before I could ever buy I jumped at the chance. I could not have made a better choice, the extras are phenominal and it should go with out saying that they are all of the highest quality as well. The art book and envelope with postcards were also a nice addition.

This DVD is the long awaited movie for the Fullmetal Alchemist. The story took place after the TV series which is a bit different compare to the manga. Must get, must have and must watch!

The movie from the great anime. Some part are too short and to easy to become like that. But for this story lover, it's worth to see. And the package is very good for collecting. :)

Wow. This limited edition premium box is great. It comes with a lot of goodies. The movie itself has a very interesting ending that I won't spoil. The extras that come with the DVD are worth the money in my opinion, especially for the FMA fan.

The ending wasn't everything I hoped for, but it was an excellent movie none the less and I don't regret buying it. The movie had much of the same things from the series, comedy, drama, and a lot of action. The English subtitle option was nice and made the experience of watching the film all the more enjoyable. The other extras included with this limited edition were very nice as well.

I have yet to have a look at the extras but i have watched the movie and they've done a really good job. The casing and other extras you get in this pack is great something you would want to put on display to show everyone.

Ed and Al stay in the world with no alchemy. I gave it the score I did because of that. Otherwise, the movie kicked ass. But be prepared to be dissappointed in the movie!! VERY DISSAPPOINTED!!!!

I'm a FMA fan and I have to say that this release could not get any better. It includes nearly everything that you could have imagined, from trailers to two sets of commentary. The animation and soundtrack are excellent, as expected from the movie that brings a "definate" ending to one of the best series of year 2004. My only complain is that they haven't included the "Reflections" special but other than that it is an excellent release.

I think if I had bought the regular edition, I would be missing a lot of the good stuff. The subtitles are really helpful to those who can't speak much Japanese. The ending is fine, but is a bit of a cliffhanger if you haven't seen the Hagaren Kids OVA. There weren't as many 'short' comments, but still an exellent movie.

The animation- the sky drawn in this movie is just beautiful-, the jokes, the fights,[...] absolutely amusing the ending of one of the series I simply loved and enjoyed watching. The plot was pretty good, with a lot of History as background for our Ed to get into trouble and again save the day. The appearance of Al in his real body surely beats the old days as a soul attached to an armor. The only lacking is that it seems the story did not really end- there are still room for a new season or OVAs to be launched -that is why I've got a little frustrated. Concerning the limited edition thing, I loved the cards- the always awesome illustrations made by Yoshiyuki Ito -and the fact that the movie has English subtitles.

Well, this limited edition have a lot of extras and i'm specially thankfull to de english subtitles. The movie have a great animation , and put and end to the story of FMA, the end isnt of all my likes, but in the end is good.

When I got this set in the mail I (literally) hugged the delivery guy. The packaging of this product itself is superb and looks beautiful on my shelf. The three-disc set includes many extras, although only the movie includes subtitles. A great ending to an almost perfect anime.

I thought this movie was pretty good, the only downside is that i saw this movie in japanese with english subtitle so it was a bit hard to catch what it was all about. but this movie is really good, it has it humor side, sad and believe or not gory side to.. the only thing i didn't like was how it ended. i totally suspected somthing else. but its still a really good movie.

A nice ending to the animated show bringing things to a nice closure. Very touching and really done well. Worth getting the special edition.

Finally providing an ending to what may be one of the best series ever made, "Shanbara wo Iku Mono" picks up the storyline of "Fullmetal Alchemist" where the TV series leaves off. Initially covering a flashback to a scene you weren't privy to in the TV series, the movie continues into the present with the ongoing lives of all of the major characters you've come to love (and possibly hate), as well as several new faces. Beautifully rendered animation and excellent acting make this film greatly enjoyable (especially with the English subtitle option), and the superb BGM adds beautifully to the flow of the film. While the film may seem a bit out-of-place at first, you quickly find yourself immersed in the world of Edward Elric in a series of events that never cease to surprise as they take you in unexpected twists up until the movie's climax. While brining the storyline to a final closure, the ending was somewhat disappointing. Nevertheless, anyone who has watched the series needs to see this spectacular film and judge it for themselves. After all, people are prone to fear that which they cannot understand.
