A must-have for every ayu-fan! 5

Single features new classics glitter and fated! "glitter / fated" is such an epic CD release that you can't miss to have on your japanese music collection! Lead song "glitter" is up-beat, the instrumental is loud and it combines with ayu's voice very well. This song really portraits the summer feeling! Double-lead song "fated" is a ballad with a beautiful deep instrumental track. It also promotes song "Secret" which was recently used as theme song for chinese movie "Confession of Pain". If you don't own "Secret" album you should definitely give it a try to the song.

This is my favourite summer song from Ayumi Hamasaki. "Fated" is a good ballad too. And the "Secret" version is so cute!!!!!

A fun summer song 4

I was impressed with this single from Ayu, but I wouldn't say that I was totally blown away by it. The songs are definitely summer-y (it /was/ released during summer after all), and they are fun to listen to, but I really expected more from it. If you like Ayu's summer-y songs, this is for you!

PERFECT 5

I love this single! "glitter" is a summerish song, but really more powerfull than "fairyland" and "BLUE BIRD", "fated" is a beautiful ballad and the song goes perfectly with the PV, you can cry. "Secret" is from the album "Secret", it's a really pretty ballad! Teh instrumentals are perfect, "glitter" is my favorite instrumental in this single, looks really happy and the back voice is really cute!

Another hit from Ayu ! 5

''glitter'' is the typical summerish song with a fresh and dance tune like ''fairyland'' or ''BLUE BIRD'' and ''fated'' is a really good ballad. The single includes the title-track from her latest album ''Secret'', a very nice ballad.

glitter 5

All has been said for the CD+DVD version already so I'll keep myself short here. Basically, this version is ideal for anyone who wants Ayu's latest release but isn't necessarily interested in her short movie 'Distance Love'. While 'glitter' is a perfect summer tune with a cheerful melody, 'fated' is a lovely ballad with really touching lyrics. The third track 'Secret' should be known to fans from her last studio album of the same name.

Summer Fantasy Pre-Release Comment

After her second best compilation, I have been curiously anticipating Hamasaki's next chapter in her musical career. Ayumi Hamasaki is a gifted artist and these years of experience in the music industry have polished up her skills considerably. From what I've heard, this single sounds a fairly solid summer release. I know many are going to complain because it contains the typical summer formula but clearly it sells rather well and to be frank, summer wouldn't be summer without the upbeat pop songs. "glitter" does the job quite well and includes a hint of fantasy. On the other hand, "fated" balances the mood of the single, with an emotional rock ballad, reflecting the melancholic side of summer. I highly suggest any fan to pick up this single and judge for themselves. The whole package is quite promising and points towards a rather polished product. I would definitely called "glitter/fated" one of the most anticipated singles of 2007.

fated is a beautiful ballad Pre-Release Comment

Glitter is a cute summer song, and it's very different. There's been a lot of critism about how she keeps releasing songs which sound the same, so this is rather refreshing. The song that really makes the difference is fated. The first time I heard the full version, the feeling I felt was so intense that I wanted to cry and smile at the same time. I've already pre-ordered this CD, and I highly recommend this single.

just not worth it Pre-Release Comment

OK, I used to be and still am a pretty good Ayumi fan, but I've heard the 2 A-Side songs already. I couldn't even make it 1/2 way through "glitter" before changing the track. I tried fully listening to it 4 times, but couldn't stand it. Her voice sounds raspy and the childish points during the song make it sound like she's trying to do kids music. As for "fated", it's a half decent song, but still nowhere near a favorite. It has to be the only track worth it on the CD unless "Secret" actually turns out to be a remix. Otherwise, unless you're a die hard Ayu-Fan I reccomend you to avoid this single and hope she does better in the future.
