Formed in 2007, Broken Doll is a punk 'n' roll rock band known for causing everyone dancing and moshing like crazy all over the dance floor. Consisting of two cute girls on vocals and bass and two guys on guitar and drums, they describe themselves as a "colorful fashion and music mixture rock band." True to that description, they are now recognized as one of the emerging icons that symbolize the leading edge Harajuku fashion and lifestyle. Check out their new mini-album "Reach For The Sky"!
In addition to producing their own records, Broken Doll run their own fashion label and apparel shop "Broken Doll." They are also involved in stage costume design, production, fashion modeling, and hosting their own events. Their DIY spirit as an indie rock band is reminiscent of the Sex Pistols, the punk icons in the 70's, who merged unconventional fashion and rock music. Broken Dolls follow their path by being a subculture transmitting girls vocal rock band.

Their one-of-a kind fashion has been reaching the world through Facebook and recognized worldwide as one of the signature styles of "Tokyo Harajuku Kawaii Fashion" in recent years. Their fashion has been hugely influential on Harajuku street kids as many entertainers and street models are sporting Broken Doll items in fashion magazine and famous TV programs.
They have collaborated with Akihiro Nanba, bassist/vocalist of the Japanese melodic punk icons Hi-STANDARD, to design/produce T-shirts and other apparel items. This indicates the band's wide-ranging interaction with various artists. They have been taking variety of approaches to exude their presence to Japanese street kids.
