- Story -
In the distant future, a happy-go-lucky bounty hunter with some martial arts skills named Spike Spiegel takes odd bounty-hunting jobs with his ex-cop partner, Jet Black. They travel around the galaxy using hyperspace gateways on an old spaceship they call, Bebop. They're soon joined by a beautiful woman who is also a cheeky daredevil with a big mouth whom the guys can hardly tolerate, and a whiz kid hacker who is as whimsical as a breeze. To make a living, they somehow manage to band together and search across the galaxy for fugitives with high-priced bounty on their heads. Their adventures often take unexpected turns as the line between good guys and bad guys gets blurry sometimes.

- Production Crew -
Among other things, what distinguishes this show most is the brilliant opening title sequence with music by highly acclaimed composer, Yoko Kanno. Director Shinichiro Watanabe had previously worked on the excellent Macross Plus OVA, and recently on two segments of The Animatrix.
