Description

[Machine Translation] Radiohead just released their live album "Hail To The Thief ( Live Recordings 2003-2009 )" and started their first tour in 7 years. This live album was recorded on August 13, 2003 in Mansfield, Massachusetts, after the release of their sixth album "Hail To The Thief" (2003), which is the basis of this live album. Radiohead first gained international attention with 1997's "OK Computer" and continued to do so with 2000's "Kid A", which became a worldwide hit. Hail To The Thief" was a return to a live sound, and was their last album for EMI, after which Radiohead stopped for a while to pursue solo and other activities. After this album, Radiohead stopped their activities for a while due to solo activities, etc. This is the soundtrack from the tour that took place during such a transitional period. The tour started in Dublin in mid-May 2003, and by the end of the year, the band had toured Europe, North America, Europe, and ended in Japan and Australia in April 2004. The Mansfield concert took place in the middle of the tour, and the appearance of this full concert recording was long-awaited by fans, since there were no official live recordings released after "Kid A" at that time, and the tour was full of very enthusiastic performances. In fact, the members of the band listened to the official live recordings and found that many of them were so good that they decided to release them, so it makes sense to be able to enjoy the entire concert in this sense. The setlist consisted mainly of songs from "Hail To The Thief" and a wide selection of songs from each album. This is the soundtrack of a time when the band was heading toward a new turning point.

ライヴ・アルバム『Hail To The Thief (Live Recordings 2003-2009)』をリリースし、7年ぶりとなるツアーを始めたばかりのレディオヘッド。そのライヴ盤の元となる6枚目のアルバム『Hail To The Thief』 (2003年)をリリースした後のツアーから、2003年8月13日のマサチューセッツ州マンスフィールドでのライヴを収録! 1997年の『OK Computer』で世界的に注目され始めたレディオヘッドは、2000年の『Kid A』が世界的な大ヒットとなり、以降もその勢いは続いていた。『Hail To The Thief』は再びライヴ・サウンドへと回帰を目指した作品で、EMIからの最後のアルバムとなり、この後、レディオヘッドはソロ活動などのためしばらくの間活動を停止する。これはそんな境目の時期に行われたツアーからの音源。ツアーは2003年の5月半ばにダブリンから始まり、年末までにヨーロッパ〜北米〜ヨーロッパと回り、年が明けて2004年の4月に日本とオーストラリアを回って終了した。このマンスフィールド公演はツアーの中盤あたりに行われたものだが、当時、『Kid A』以降の世界観でのライヴ音源の公式リリースがなかったことと、このツアーはなかなかの熱演が多かったこともあり、このフルコンサートの音源の登場はファン待望のものとなった。実は、今回出た公式ライヴ盤は、メンバーが聴き返していたところ、あまりにも良いものが多かったためリリースに至ったということだったので、その意味でも1公演丸ごと楽しめるのは意味があるだろう。セットリストは、『Hail To The Thief』の楽曲を中心に、各アルバムから満遍なく選曲されている。新たな転換期に向かいつつあった時期の音源。
