Description

[Machine Translation] The latest work by the genius George Miller has finally landed in Japan! The Arabian Nights is the story of a solitary magician who has been imprisoned for 3000 years and a female scholar who pursues an impossible dream. The arabesque, with its overwhelming beauty of form and gorgeous colors, is inspired by "The Arabian Nights," a collection of Islamic tales, and invites the viewer into the mystery of love and the world of madness and desire. --The mystery of love spun by two people who meet in the mysterious city of Istanbul. Alicia, a specialist in narratology who studies stories and myths from the East and West, visited Istanbul, Turkey, to give a lecture. When she returned to her hotel room after buying a beautiful glass bottle at the bazaar, a gigantic demon ("djinn") suddenly appeared from inside. The genie, who is surprisingly gentlemanly and loves to talk with women, offers to grant her "three wishes" in return for taking the jar out of her hands. If he does so, the curse will be lifted and he will be free. But Alicia, an expert in storytelling, is skeptical about the offer. She knows that every wish tale is dangerous and has no happy ending. The witch begins to tell her a story of her own, spanning 3,000 years from B.C., in an attempt to change her mind. Alicia then makes a wish that surprises the magician and even herself...

HD DVD

HD DVDs titles are playable only on HD DVD players. They are not playalbe on conventional DVD players or Blu-ray players. On the other hand, Twin Format disc has a layer that is playable also on conventional DVD players. Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.

DVD-Audios are playable only on DVD-Audio players and DVD players that are compatible with DVD-Audios (to find out for sure, consult the manual of your DVD player, or look for DVD-Audio logo). DVD-Audios are not playable on regular DVD players or CD players.

SACD (Super Audio CD)

SACDs are playable only on SACD players, and will not play on regular CD players. On the other hand, SACD Hybrid disc has a layer that is playable also on regular CD payers. Such titles are indicated as "Format: SACD-Hybrid" in item details page.
