Description

[Machine Translation] In Cincinnati, USA, a group of homeless people, fearing for their lives due to the arrival of a record-breaking cold wave, occupy a library floor. The film is an unpredictable, funny, and tearful story centered on the struggles of a librarian caught up in this sudden outbreak of mayhem, and is a moving film filled with warmth and humanity while raising a number of social issues. The film was conceived, produced, written, directed, and starred Emilio Estevez. The main character, who was swayed by the media and the police, but who sought his ideal role as a librarian and a member of society, and "gave voice" by quoting a passage from the novel, gave courage to the audience. The climax of the film, full of poignancy and message, is also a must-see! --Stuart (Emilio Estevez), an honest librarian at a public library in Cincinnati, Ohio, is told something unexpected by a homeless man, a regular patron. I'm not going home tonight. I'm going to occupy this place. The city's emergency shelter is full and the homeless have nowhere to go, despite the fact that many people are freezing to death on the streets due to the cold wave. Stuart, aware of the plight of about 70 homeless people, joins them holed up on the third floor and seals off the entrances and exits. It was a peaceful demonstration to seek "alternative shelter," but the prosecutor's biased arguments and sensationalized media coverage, hoping to improve his political image, make Stuart into an "abusive suspect" with a troubled mind. When the police riot police are dispatched to the scene, Stuart and the homeless people make an astonishing decision...

DVD

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

There are a few DVD titles that are playable in all regions. Such titles are indicated as "Region Code: ALL" under "Edition Details" in item pages. If the indication is missing, then it must be assumed that the title is encoded for Region 2. *Please note that opened items are not eligible for returns, unless there is a manufacturer defect. So please make sure that your DVD player can play region 2 DVDs before completing your order (see Returns Policy).

HD DVD

HD DVDs titles are playable only on HD DVD players. They are not playalbe on conventional DVD players or Blu-ray players. On the other hand, Twin Format disc has a layer that is playable also on conventional DVD players. Such titles are indicated as "Format: HD DVD Twin Format" in item details page. *We'll add accurate information on regional encoding as they become available, but for the time-being, please assume that HD DVD titles available at CDJapan are encoded for Region-2.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.

DVD-Audios are playable only on DVD-Audio players and DVD players that are compatible with DVD-Audios (to find out for sure, consult the manual of your DVD player, or look for DVD-Audio logo). DVD-Audios are not playable on regular DVD players or CD players.

SACD (Super Audio CD)

SACDs are playable only on SACD players, and will not play on regular CD players. On the other hand, SACD Hybrid disc has a layer that is playable also on regular CD payers. Such titles are indicated as "Format: SACD-Hybrid" in item details page.
