Description

[Machine Translation] The Japanese drift race is a competition of hardness, speed, and beauty. The earth-shaking sound of the engines, the ferocious white smoke, the G's at maximum on the ground, the superb driving technique of sliding the tires through the corners, the acrobatic and dynamic competition that has taken the world by surprise - this is the pinnacle of drifting entertainment! The story is about an e-sports driver in Japan who aims for the pinnacle of real drifting. e-sports is a category of professional competition using video games, and in recent years, there has been a lot of talk about e-sports drivers turning into real racers. Director Shimoyama Ten, who has established a global reputation for his blockbuster hit "Shinobi" (released in over 40 countries) and the Netflix original "Boku dake ga inai machi" (The Town Where Only I Am), which is currently being simultaneously distributed in over 190 countries, was among the first to focus on this next generation of sports. The film took five years to conceive and conduct thorough interviews with the director. In addition, Keiichi Tsuchiya, acclaimed as the "Drift King," supervised and appeared in the film. Tsuchiya won the GT2 class of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995, and he also participated in the blockbuster movie "Wild Speed X3 TOKYO DRIFT" as a technical advisor. In this film, Tsuchiya's obsession with realistic drifting was beautifully portrayed by director Shimoyama and his cinematography staff in a thorough filming plan. The film is the result of the brilliant collaboration between the world's top drifting team and the Shimoyama team, including the use of 20 cameras with camera angles adjusted to the millimeter, and the appearance of the champions of the D1 Grand Prix drifting competition, resulting in a powerful car-stunt film with zero CG! --The drifting team is in danger of disbanding, and they recruit Koichi Ohane, a gamer who is introverted and has a hard time socializing with others, but has an incredible talent for games. Koichi shows his ability in a real car, but he is confronted by people who challenge him in a life-and-death race. Koichi's awakened technique, passion, courage, and teamwork break through the barriers of virtual and real life, and take him to new heights.

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

Such titles are indicated as "Format: HD DVD Twin Format" in item details page. *We'll add accurate information on regional encoding as they become available, but for the time-being, please assume that HD DVD titles available at CDJapan are encoded for Region-2.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
