Description

[Machine Translation] The first overseas starring film that became the origin of "The World's Mifune" is now available in Japan for the first time in a new HD master version! Toshiro Mifune, the "Mifune of the World" who has carved his name on numerous masterpieces in film history such as "The Seven Samurai", "Rashomon", and "The Bouncer", will finally be released for the first time in Japan as part of a commemorative project to mark the 100th anniversary of his birth on April 1, 2020. The HD new master, which is a 2K scanning of the original master positive, brings the film vividly back to life after a lapse of about 60 years. --In the southern part of Mexico, the poor farmer Animas Trujano, who is always drinking, fighting, and gambling, and is looked down upon by everyone in the village, has a dream. He has a dream: to be chosen as the organizer of the annual Mayordomoia festival and become the "mayordomo," a man of money and power who commands the respect of the entire village. The night of his child's funeral, he almost got into a drunken fight, and Katharina, the town girl, gave him the cold shoulder, all because of the tadeo he won last year. At the urging of his kind wife Fana, Animas goes to work at a brewery with his family, but is fired when he is caught stealing liquor. He is also imprisoned after injuring the son of the factory owner, who was meeting with his eldest daughter, Dorothea. A special booklet (24 pages) containing many rare photos and documents from the time of the film's production is enclosed.

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
