[Machine Translation] What is a happy life? A year has passed since the couple separated, and the protagonist is full of excuses. WOWOW New Talent Scenario Award winner. --Stable income, stable life... Katsuhiro Morita ( Atsushi Ito ) works at a bank in Tokyo, quietly working hard every day for his family. One day, however, his wife Chika ( Haruka Kiminami ) suddenly leaves home with their son and returns to Chika's parents' house in Yamanashi. One year has passed since then. Katsuhiro goes to the house in Yamanashi once a month, but he is puzzled when Chika asks him to live with her in Yamanashi. Katsuhiro is assigned to Namiko Kondo ( Mari Natsuki ), a "troublesome old lady" who is famous for contacting Katsuhiro several times a day and annoying the person in charge. When Namiko finds out what Katsuhiro is going through, she hurls harsh words at him, saying that he is one step away from a divorce, and suggests that he help his father-in-law, Tsunezo Tabata (Tokuma Nishioka), with his farming business in Yamanashi, even if only on weekends. He also hands Katsuhiro a "Beginning Notebook," which is not an "Ending Notebook. In the notebook, Katsuhiro writes down what he needs to do in order to live with his family, and he clears the tasks one by one, although he is skeptical.

幸せな人生って何だろう?気付けば別居1年――。言い訳ばかりの主人公が再び家族と暮らすために奮闘する物語。WOWOW新人シナリオ大賞受賞作。――安定した収入、安定した生活・・・。東京の銀行で働く森田克博(伊藤淳史)は、家族のために毎日黙々と仕事に励んでいた。しかしある日突然、妻の千佳(木南晴夏)が息子を連れて家を出て、山梨にある千佳の実家へと帰ってしまう。それから別居生活1年。克博は山梨の家に月1回通っていたが、千佳からは「山梨で一緒に暮らしてほしい」と言われて困惑する。そんな中、克博は、毎日何回も連絡してきては担当者を困らせることで有名な"厄介なおばあさん"、近藤波子(夏木マリ)の担当に。克博の身の上を知った波子は、「離婚一歩手前だ」と克博にキツい言葉を浴びせるが、週末だけでも山梨で義父の田端恒三(西岡徳馬)が営む農業を手伝うよう提案。さらに"エンディングノート"ならぬ"ビギニングノート"を克博に手渡す。ノートには、克博が"家族と一緒に暮らすためにやるべきこと"が書かれており、克博は半信半疑ながらも課題を一つずつクリアしていく。

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
