[Machine Translation] An unprecedented Buddhist statue boom is underway! In this new TV series, Jun Miura and Seiko Ito, who are known for their love of Buddhist statues and who call each other "buddhist friends," walk around to see Buddhist statues in various places. The unique sense of ennui and exquisite talk backed by their deep love and knowledge of Buddhist statues throughout the entire program are a must-see. The content is authentic and will delight fans of Buddhist statues. --The trip begins at Tozan-ji Temple, which is said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi. The tour begins at Higashiyama-dera Temple, said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi, where you will see the beautiful standing statue of Yakushi Nyorai (Important Cultural Property) and the Twelve Divine Generals (Important Cultural Property), both created in the Heian period. What is the "35-day Buddhist memorial service", a rare Awaji Island custom said to have originated at Tozanji Temple? Awaji Kokubunji Temple is one of the Kokubunji Temples built throughout Japan during the Tenpyo Period. Miura and Ito were excited to see the huge seated statue of Shakyamuni Buddha (Important Cultural Property). Among the sixteen arhats, there is a teacher famous for his "Ima desu! and a unique comedian popular for his exaggerated mimicry. At Gokokuji Temple, visitors came face to face with a number of Buddhist statues, including a seated statue of Amida Nyorai and a standing statue of Fudo Myoo, both made in the Heian period (794-1185). Among them, the specially exhibited seated statue of Dainichi Nyorai (Important Cultural Property) is a gem believed to have been made by the Kei School. In addition, Jun Miura was fascinated by a new character created by the temple's abbot. At Narisyoji Temple, they met Buddhas that have been carefully protected by the villagers. Enjoy the standing statue of Yakushi Nyorai (Important Cultural Property), said to be the oldest Buddhist statue on Awaji Island, which Miura and Ito highly praised, and a number of mysterious miniature Buddhist statues. The ever-popular sweets tour is also alive and well. The sweets found on Awaji Island, known for its onions, are of course...?
