Description

[Machine Translation] First time packaged (4K remastering) ! A moving story of war and humanity that sings of the extremes of love and friendship on the battlefield, transcending national borders! --In 1941, seven Japanese ships anchored in the harbor of Japanese-occupied Singapore were blown up. The Kempeitai (Military Police) arrests the suspects, suspecting sabotage by anti-Japanese guerrillas. It turned out to be the work of a British-Australian allied special attack force called "Z Force," called "Operation Jaywick," which aimed to recapture Singapore. This special force attempted another attack, but was met with a counterattack by the Japanese, and the commander, Captain Page, and ten others were taken prisoner. The chief interpreter, Minoru Tamiya, and Captain Page soon develop a friendship that transcends friend and foe... The film was planned and produced by producer Kanji Mochimaru, who surprised the film industry with the success of "Ah, Nomugi Touge. Based on historical facts, this epic film is a grand-scale celebration of the friendship and human love that transcends national borders between soldiers of both sides in the midst of the Pacific War, and is a fitting tribute to Toho's 50th anniversary. In addition to a star-studded cast including Nakamura Atsuo and Kitaoji Kinya, Kuroki Hitomi, a former member of the Takarazuka Revue's moon troupe, makes her first appearance in a film. Steve Bisley, who played motorcycle cop Goose in "Mad Max" ('79), also appears in the film as a soldier.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
