Description

Blu-ray release from the film "Shizumanu Taiyo" starring Ken Watanabe ("The Last Samurai"). This movie shows the ethic of an airline company which is directory linked with human life, by depicting Hajime Onchi, an employee of the national airline company, who served as the leader of labor union, and people around him. The story based on the true tragedy of Japan Airlines Flight 123, which crashed in 1985 and resulted in a total of 520 deaths and 4 survivors. It remains the deadliest single-aircraft accident in history. Includes a bonus DVD with making-of footage, a special program about Toyoko Yamazaki (original author), press conference, and more. Also includes a special booklet with lots of photos and description. *The DVD disc is encoded for region 2 (Japan, Europe, and Middle East), and no subtitles are included.

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
