Description

[Machine Translation] [Shochiku Shin Sanbatori Masterpiece Collection - Keiji Sada Best Selection] A film adaptation of Seiichi Funahashi's serialized novel of the same title. Akemi Mari, who was chosen by Shochiku from a public contest, was cast as the main character. Ichiko (Akemi Mari) drops out of high school without telling her father Genshiro (Chishu Kasa) in order to help the struggling family finances. Her aunt O-ring (Mitsuko Mori), who runs a bar in front of the station, has long been courting Shizuo Mizuguchi (Keiji Sada), a photographer and regular at the bar, for Ichiko to use as a model. O-ring asks Masae (Heiko Chino), the daughter of the next-door neighbor who is helping out at "New Moon", to persuade Ichiko. Masae sees Ichiko's likeness in Marilyn Monroe's face that she saw in a movie. The two become Mizuguchi's models on the condition that they wear swimsuits...

[松竹 新三羽鳥傑作集〜佐田啓二 ベストセレクション〜] 舟橋聖一の同名の連載小説の映画化。主人公の少女には松竹の公募で選ばれた真理明美を起用。島いち子(真理明美)は苦しい家計を助けたいと父・源四郎(笠智衆)に内緒で高校を中退してしまう。駅前で飲み屋を開いている叔母・お鈴(森光子)は、店の常連でカメラマンの水口志津夫(佐田啓二)に以前から、いち子をモデルにと口説かれていた。お鈴は隣家の娘で「新月」に手伝いに来ているまさ枝(千之赫子)にいち子を説得してくれるよう頼む。まさ枝は、映画でみたマリリン・モンローの顔にいち子の面影を見た。二人は、水着姿を条件に水口のモデルになるのだった・・・。

There are a few DVD titles that are playable in all regions. Such titles are indicated as "Region Code: ALL" under "Edition Details" in item pages. If the indication is missing, then it must be assumed that the title is encoded for Region 2. *Please note that opened items are not eligible for returns, unless there is a manufacturer defect. So please make sure that your DVD player can play region 2 DVDs before completing your order (see Returns Policy).

HD DVD

HD DVDs titles are playable only on HD DVD players. They are not playalbe on conventional DVD players or Blu-ray players. On the other hand, Twin Format disc has a layer that is playable also on conventional DVD players. Such titles are indicated as "Format: HD DVD Twin Format" in item details page. *We'll add accurate information on regional encoding as they become available, but for the time-being, please assume that HD DVD titles available at CDJapan are encoded for Region-2.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.

DVD-Audio

DVD-Audios are playable only on DVD-Audio players and DVD players that are compatible with DVD-Audios (to find out for sure, consult the manual of your DVD player, or look for DVD-Audio logo). DVD-Audios are not playable on regular DVD players or CD players.

SACD (Super Audio CD)

SACDs are playable only on SACD players, and will not play on regular CD players. On the other hand, SACD Hybrid disc has a layer that is playable also on regular CD payers. Such titles are indicated as "Format: SACD-Hybrid" in item details page.
