Description

[Machine Translation] The 64th British film blockbuster ( Zulu War ) original soundtrack disc! Directed by Cy Enfield, the film depicts the Battle of Lorke's Drift, one of the battles in the first invasion of the Zulu War fought between the British Empire and the Zulu Kingdom of South Africa in 1879, with a score by John Barry as epic as the film's music. The release of this monumental masterpiece has been completely restored, remastered, and slightly augmented. Known as the early work of John Barry's epic film blockbuster, the score is based on the theme introduced in the opening title sequence and features haunting brass and powerful percussion Despite being a 138-minute epic, the original music is less than 20 minutes long less than 20 minutes, but it is carefully interspersed and cleverly inserted. When the film was released, it was released in a format that included almost the entire score on side A, with six modern compositions and arrangements on side B. It has since been released several times on LP and CD. It was subsequently reissued several times on LP and CD, but for some reason the stereo and mono versions of the LP used different mixes and different takes on many cues. This quartet release includes both versions from the first generation of album masters. 64年制作イギリス映画超大作「ズール戦争」オリジナル・サウンドトラック盤! 1879年に大英帝国と南アフリカのズールー王国との間で戦われたズールー戦争の第一次侵攻の中の戦いの一つである、ロルクズ・ドリフトの戦いを描いた作品でサイ・エンフィールド監督の下、音楽をジョン・バリーが映画に負けない壮大なスコアを手掛けた。その記念碑的とも言える名作を、完全に修復、リマスター、若干の増補を施してリリースが決定。ジョン・バリーのエピック映画超大作の初期作品として知られ、オープニングタイトルシークエンスで導入されるテーマをベースに、心を揺さぶる金管楽器とパワフルなパーカッションを用いたスコアを提供。138分の大作であるにもかかわらず、オリジナルの音楽は20分にも満たないが丁寧に散りばめられ、巧妙に挿入されている。映画公開時にA面にスコアをほぼ全曲収録し、B面に6曲の現代的な曲とアレンジを加える形式でリリース。その後、LPとCDで何度も再発されたが、なぜかLPのステレオ版とモノラル版では、多くのキューに別のミックスや別のテイクが使用。今回のカルテットのリリースでは、第一世代のアルバムマスターから、両方のバージョンを収録。リチャード・バートンのナレーションが入っていないメインタイトルとエンドタイトル、またLPに収録されなかったジョン・バリーのオリジナル音楽 (1分)も発見し本作品への収録となった。24ページの豪華フルカラーブックレット仕様。

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
