Description

[Machine Translation] What does a father who has been losing all his life want to tell his daughter in the ring for the last time? A moving film dedicated to all losers! Mathieu Kassovitz, who won the Best Director Award at the Cannes Film Festival for his film "Hatred" ('95) and played the heroine's love interest in the blockbuster "Amelie" ('01), is the pride of France and plays a boxer who takes up boxing in earnest and puts his body on the line for his family. The main character is a sparring partner. Mbaye, a former WBA world champion, plays Tarek, the main character's sparring partner, creating realistic fight scenes. The main character's wife is played by Livia Merillati, a musician who has visited Japan for "Summer Sonic 2015. She also composed the music for the film. The daughter, Orrol, is played by Billy Blaine, a rising star in the French film industry. Her innocent look at her father and angelic smile captivate the audience! --Steve is a middle-aged boxer in his mid-40s. He has managed to support his family with occasional fights and part-time jobs, but in order to fulfill his daughter's dream of learning piano and going to school in Paris, he decides to become a sparring partner of the European champion, whom everyone shuns. Steve is a ragged man, but he rises to his feet again and again, and after a long time as a sparring partner, he receives a proposal from the champion. Steve then decides to take on one last big fight for the sake of his beloved family and his own retirement. What is the message he wants to convey to his daughter as a father in the ring at his retirement match?

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
