Description

[Machine Translation] The man loved the city, women, and movies. Thirty years have passed since then... Why doesn't the legendary director make movies? --Thirty years ago, a man named Daikon (Masaya Kato) directed a legendary film, but now he is a man of the past. He leads an empty life as a pimp for Tamako (Kumakiri Asami), who works as a pimp salon girl. One day, Tamako's old man appears and says, "Don't think you can stay away from me. Daikon and Tamako run away to a strip joint in Hiroshima, where a junior collegiate student is the director. The director (Yuji Yokoyama) welcomes them warmly, and they end up living in the backstage of the strip joint. The two are attracted by their personalities, and their friends living in the entertainment district are also in a welcoming mood. Their warm and contented time together continues, but their relationship begins to fall apart when Daikon makes a move on a stripper (Haruka Obara). You're too uncool. You'll always be our idol. Daikon is unable to face the words of the director who reprimands him. Tamako, who tenderly watches over the pimp-turned-director Daikon's emotional struggle, also has a terrible past that she can't tell anyone. What is the future of these clumsily living fools?

男は、街と女と映画を愛した。あれから30年・・・伝説と言われた監督は、なぜ映画を撮らないのか。 ――30年前、伝説の映画を監督したが、今や過去の人となっている男・大根 (加藤雅也)。大根は、ピンサロ嬢として働くタマコ (熊切あさ美)のヒモとなり空虚な生活を送っている。そんなある日、タマコの昔の男が「俺から離れられると思うなよ」と現れる。大根とタマコは大学時代の後輩が館長を務める広島のストリップ劇場に逃げ込んだ。そして二人を温かく迎え入れる館長 (横山雄二)の計らいで、大根とタマコはストリップ劇場の楽屋に住み込むことになる。二人の人柄に惹かれ、歓楽街に住まう仲間たちも歓迎ムード。温かく満ち足りた時間が続いていたが、大根がストリッパー (小原春香)に手を出したことで、それぞれの関係性が崩れ始める。「あんた、格好悪すぎるよ。いつまでも、俺たちの憧れでいてくれよ。なんで、そんな下らない男に成り下がったんだよ」大根を叱責する館長の言葉にも上手く対峙できない大根。そしてヒモに成り下がった映画監督・大根の心の葛藤を優しく見守るタマコにもまた、人には言えない凄惨な過去があった。果たして、不器用に生きる愚か者たちの未来は・・・。

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
