Description

[Machine Translation] A laugh-out-loud, tear-jerking, ensemble drama set in a famous Italian restaurant, starring Yosuke Eguchi, that asks the question of "what it means to work" and "what it means to live"! The film features Yosuke Eguchi (Queen of Lunch), Yutaka Matsushige (Gourmet of Solitude), and Kana Kurashina (Hana no Zuborahan), all of whom star in this cooking drama. The cast also includes Yusuke Santamaria, Tomohito Yashima, Kotaro Shiga, and other unique personalities! --Ristorante Roccabianca" is a popular Italian restaurant with a three-month waiting list for reservations. Under the owner chef Hideo Tatsumi (Morio Kazama), a master of Italian cuisine in Japan, the restaurant was run by a team of skilled chefs who respected and admired him. Then, Hideo collapses from a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Saori (Kana Kurashina), Hideo's daughter and the manager of Roccabianca, decides to continue the business in the absence of the owner-chef. However, the regular customers who were attracted by Hideo's Italian cuisine leave one after another, and sales decline until they can no longer afford to pay the employees' salaries, leading some employees to give up on the future of the restaurant. Saori makes a further decision to invite a new chef. The offer is made to another Japanese chef, Kyu Ezaki (Yosuke Eguchi), who worked at the famous restaurant "Teresa" in Turin, where Hideo trained as a young chef. However, although he is a talented chef, his personality and views on cooking are very different from those of Hideo. Thus, the "worst chef" appears as the savior of the "best restaurant" that was falling to the ground. There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

HD DVD

Such titles are indicated as "Format: HD DVD Twin Format" in item details page. *We'll add accurate information on regional encoding as they become available, but for the time-being, please assume that HD DVD titles available at CDJapan are encoded for Region-2.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
