Description

A healing movie directed by Koshi Nishio that will bring you closer to your wounded heart! In today's society, where failure is unforgiving and it is difficult to make a fresh start, the film depicts, sometimes comically, but especially movingly, how having someone believe in you can be a great help in escaping from the bottom. Directed by Hiroaki Kananobu, executive producer of "Shanidhar's Flower". Directed by Nishio Koshi, who specializes in cute humanistic comedies such as Hakodate Coffee. The screenplay is by Nanoha Ito, the writer of "Hakodate Coffee," and Nishio adds a light touch to the film. A talented cast has assembled! The young, talented actors Yamazaki Karin and Mori Yusaku give exquisite performances as the somewhat unbalanced couple, and Iwatani Kenji gives a mysterious but lovable performance as the father. The supporting actors, including Reiko Kataoka, Yuichiro Nakayama, and Junichi Haruta, are all talents of Japanese cinema. Akashi City in Hyogo Prefecture is popular as a comfortable place to live. The film was shot on location throughout Akashi City with the cooperation of local volunteers and features beautiful cinematic scenery such as the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which symbolizes the protagonist's "reluctance to step outside," and the star-like sea and night views of Akashi City. --One day, Kayano is suddenly arrested. Her boyfriend, Kotaro, cannot swallow the situation. While he is spending his days in a daze, he is summoned by Kayano's father, Shinichi. He accepts Shinichi's request, "Will you take me with you to the other side of the sea where Kayano is being detained? Kotaro accepts Shinichi's request. However, Shinichi has a self-proclaimed panic disorder and cannot travel by train or even on the highway. Although he feels a distance between himself and his lover's father, whom he has never met before, Kotaro decides to travel across the sea to Shikoku, the place where his beloved is being held captive. However, during the journey - he discovers that Shinichi is a person who is not supposed to exist in this world. This sad and funny healing drama depicts people who have dropped out of society and are once again challenging their own paths. The name Yamazaki is officially spelled Tatasaki ( ) in Japanese.

HD DVD

HD DVDs titles are playable only on HD DVD players. They are not playalbe on conventional DVD players or Blu-ray players. On the other hand, Twin Format disc has a layer that is playable also on conventional DVD players. Such titles are indicated as "Format: HD DVD Twin Format" in item details page. *We'll add accurate information on regional encoding as they become available, but for the time-being, please assume that HD DVD titles available at CDJapan are encoded for Region-2.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.

SACD (Super Audio CD)

SACDs are playable only on SACD players, and will not play on regular CD players. On the other hand, SACD Hybrid disc has a layer that is playable also on regular CD payers. Such titles are indicated as "Format: SACD-Hybrid" in item details page.
