Description

[Machine Translation] This omnibus horror masterpiece is a lavish adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's novel of the weird and fantastic by three master filmmakers representing France and Italy, Roger Vadim, Louis Malle, and Federico Fellini, who each fully demonstrate their unique personalities and styles. In the first episode, "The Wailing House of the Black Horse," Vadim cast his then-wife Jane Fonda as the heroine, co-starring with his own brother Peter Fonda, which also became a hot topic. In the second episode "The Man Who Killed the Shadow," directed by Louis Malle, Alain Delon plays a double role as an officer who is troubled by the presence of a man who is the exact duplicate of himself, and his nervous acting leaves the audience in suspense. Brigitte Bardot co-stars. The third and final episode, "The Devil's Necklace," is Federico Fellini's sharp portrayal of a failed, alcoholic British actor who confronts the apparition of a young girl in a foreign land, drawing the viewer into the film's stunning world. The film is a 4K remastered version of the TBS "Monday Road Show" version (broadcast in 1972) *Some parts of the film are not dubbed, so the subtitles are superimposed. --Frederick (Jane Fonda), the daughter of a countess, has been behaving selfishly like a queen, and has been getting everyone around her to do her bidding. One day, Frederick meets Wilhelm (Peter Fonda) in the woods and tries to seduce him, but he rejects her because of his disdain for her behavior...
