Description

[Machine Translation] This is an acoustic piano trio work by Brian Blomberg, a master bassist who boasts superb technique. As the title "LaFaro" suggests, this is a tribute to the great jazz bass player Scott LaFaro, and is a SACD hybridization of the CD of the same name (out of print) released by King International in 2023 (can also be played on a regular CD player). This work, originally known for its high sound quality, has been remastered and converted to DSD, bringing it back to life with the highest sound quality. Tom Zink, who owns Ming Dynasty Studios where this album was recorded and has participated in many of Bromberg's recordings, plays piano on this album. Charles Ruggiero, who also played in Chuck Mangione's group, plays drums, and the three of them create a rich sound space. The album contains 13 songs in total. The album includes popular songs performed by the Bill Evans Trio, Scott Ruffalo's "Gloria's Step" and "Jade Visions". Danny Boy" is a moving solo bass performance by Blomberg. Scotty's Song", a song written by Bromberg and dedicated to Scott Ruffalo, features Bromberg on piccolo bass. The album also includes liner notes written by Bromberg himself, and a moving commentary by Helen Ruffalo Fernandez, Scott Ruffalo's sister.

超絶テクニックを誇る名ベーシスト、ブライアン・ブロンバーグによるアコースティック・ピアノ・トリオ作品。タイトル『LaFaro (ラファロ)』の通り、偉大なるジャズベース・プレイヤー=スコット・ラファロに捧げた内容。2023年キングインターナショナルから発売された同名CD (廃盤)のSACDハイブリッド化作品 (通常のCDプレーヤーでも再生可能)となる。元々高音質な作品として知られる本作がリマスタリングを経てDSD化、最高音質で蘇る。この作品が録音されたMing Dynastyスタジオのオーナーでもありブロンバーグの数々の録音にも参加しているトム・ジンクがピアノで参加。ドラムスにはチャック・マンジョーネのグループにも参加していたチャールズ・ルッジェーロを迎え、3人が充実した音空間を創り出している。収録曲は全13曲。ビル・エヴァンス・トリオの演奏でお馴染みの人気曲をはじめスコット・ラファロの作品「Gloria's Step」、「Jade Visions」を収録。「Danny Boy」はブロンバーグのベースソロ演奏で感動的。ブロンバーグの書き下ろし曲、スコット・ラファロに捧げた「Scotty's Song」ではピッコロ・ベースの演奏を聴くことができる。ブロンバーグ自身が書き下ろしたライナーノート、そしてスコット・ラファロの実妹、ヘレン・ラファロ・フェルナンデスの感動のコメントも収録。

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
