Description

[Machine Translation] They fight for their homeland and to protect their loved ones! A survival war story by hawkish director John Milius depicting the world under World War III! At the end of the Cold War, when the mood of confrontation between the U.S. and the Soviet Union was intensifying, John Milius, known as a hawkish director, depicted a virtual world under the Third World War in this survivalist war movie. The hard-hitting story of an ordinary boy and girl transformed into a cold-blooded fighting machine also drew a great response. --One September afternoon in the 1980s, a large number of soldiers parachute into the small town of Calumet, Colorado. World War III had broken out, and the invasion of the U.S. mainland by the allied forces of the Soviet Union, Cuba, and Nicaragua had begun. While the unarmed residents of the town are massacred, eight boys and girls, including high school student Jed (P. Swayze), escape into the Rocky Mountains. They eventually take up arms and begin to resist the communist forces that have taken over their hometown. New master version fully restored in 4K from the original negative, featuring for the first time the Japanese dubbed TV version (TBS "Monday Road Show" version) (some parts of the dubbed voice are not included in the old Blu-ray & DVD, but the original voice and Japanese subtitles are used).

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
