Description

Koshiro Matsumoto plays the role of Heizo Hasegawa, known as "Onihei", in the first film adaptation of this immortal masterpiece in eight years! Hasegawa Heizo (Matsumoto Koshiro) is on patrol in the Honjo area when he is reunited with Kishii Sanumanosuke (Yamaguchi Magiya), a fellow dojo member and close friend from his youth, and Sagami no Hikokonju (Hino Shohei), an unscrupulous Kogushi. They are informed by Sananosuke that Ofusa (Sachie Hara), the daughter they both admired in the past, has been separated from her husband's family and has become a shinzo of an evil retainer. When Hikonju investigates the family's background, he uncovers a connection to a former teacher from Heizo and Sanosuke's youth, as well as some nefarious deeds. Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
