Description

[Machine Translation] The film is a moving drama by the staff of "Ai to Shite no Mitsuyoshi" (Struggle with Death), including Sayuri Yoshinaga, Mitsuo Hamada, Shigeyoshi Uno, and director Takeichi Saito, about an ailing musician father and his daughter who is determined to enter a music college against all odds. --Taku Koko (Yoshinaga Sayuri) is a talented musician who is aiming to enter the piano department of a music academy next spring. Every day she takes time off from her part-time job to practice piano at the home of her high school senior, Agawa ( Mitsuo Hamada ). Hiroko's father, Michikazu ( Shigekichi Uno ), used to be a clarinetist in a symphony orchestra, but now he is a member of a small orchestra playing for an American military camp. He is now a member of a small orchestra playing in a U.S. military camp. He finally quits the orchestra, but his only dream is for his daughter to enter a music college, and it is also his late wife's wish, so he pretends to go to work every morning so that Koko will not worry about him. 吉永小百合、浜田光夫、宇野重吉に加え斎藤武市監督という『愛と死をみつめて』のスタッフ陣が贈る、病身の音楽家の父と逆境にめげず音大を目指す娘の姿を描いた感動のドラマ。――音楽の才能溢れる卓紘子 (吉永小百合)は来春に音楽大学ピアノ科の入学を目指していた。毎日アルバイトの合間を縫って、高校の先輩の阿川 (浜田光夫)の家でピアノの練習をする。そんな紘子の父道一 (宇野重吉)はかつて交響楽団のクラリネット奏者だったが、いまでは米軍キャンプ相手の小さな楽団の一員に落ちぶれていた。そのうえ心臓を悪くしてクラリネットの演奏を禁止されてしまう。とうとう楽団も辞めてしまったが、娘が音楽大学へ入ることが唯一の夢であり、また亡き妻の望みでもあったため、紘子には心配させまいと毎朝出勤するようにみせかけていた。ある日、阿川の紹介で高名なピアニスト江戸基次によるレッスンが決まり、その嬉しさを伝えに行くが、父の同僚から道一が既に楽団を辞め、更には病を患っていることを聞かされる。入学資金を父の治療費にまわして、必死に働く紘子。音楽大学の進学をも断念しようと考えはじめるが・・・。ピクチャーディスク仕様。

SACD (Super Audio CD)
